Usually been very good care at the VA Jamaica Plain, but over the past couple of weeks I have left more than a few messages trying to get in touch with Dr. Shankar in the Pain Clinic in regards to having my epidural procedure for the pain in my right/leg/hip. I haven’t received a response other than a message would be left for her.

When it takes six months to get a colonoscopy since the doctor keeps rescheduling… that’s some quality health care. It’ll sure be nice when we all vote for universal health care and get that same standard of care!

It's hit or miss here when it comes to finding a place to park in a disabled parking spot. They have had a large trash dumpster covering three disabled parking spots for at least a year. Interior needs updating, especially in the waiting area on the third floor.

Called to get a primary care provider. Got a salty receptionist that wanted to get rid of me so she could go on break/clock out. Lazy, rude employees who don't give a damn about veterans.

Had a surgical procedure done here and I gotta say the quality of care was incredible. Everything was explained and a calm and assuring manner. Friendly professional staff with smiles and calm demeanors. Expertly done surgery and I was outta there within 3 hours. If I ever need surgery again will 100% be asking to come here.

Really good for veterans to get good care. My PCP is great and if I need to see someone special, I'm sent to the one in West Roxbury.

Having been in the VA system for 30+ years, and living in several states across the US, the JP hospital and Medical system is definitely one of the better locations. Most everyone is caring and helpful and the quality of care is quite good. Of course there are some difficult people but you'd expect that anywhere.
