I rented a scooter from JK Medical Supplies to attend the activities for our family reunion in Springfield, VA. I had rented one for a conference in DC last year. When I called to have it delivered, the woman taking the order remembered me from my 2023 rental.
Everything went so smoothly. The scooter was delivered before I arrived and was picked up the day after the reunion.
The scooter was great for enjoying the museum, the picnic in the park, and going to the banquet at a major hotel across the street.
It was new so I called to check how to start it and they patiently walked me through on the phone...excellent customer service!

I fractured my ankle while my husband was out of town for a long business trip, leaving me home alone with my 130 lb dog that may have contributed to the fracture. JK Medical Supplies is great! I called after the doctor's, my crutches really limited ability to do stuff (even bring food/water to table). The knee scooter is great, and the front desk lady (who helped me get the reservation) personally delivered it after she realized they were short staffed, she delivered hours after I put in the order. Talk about customer service!!!!

Highly reccomend, very affordable & wouldn't be able to take care of self, dog or house without this rental. Thank you so much JK Medical Supplies!

I’m elderly and have many physical disabilities and use a chair lift. On a Saturday night recently it broke and I couldn’t get upstairs to go to bed, so had to sleep in a family room chair. I called J K Medical on Sunday on the off chance that they were open, and they were. A very pleasant and helpful woman named RJ answered the phone and after explaining my situation, she said they could deliver a rental hospital bed that very afternoon! I was so pleased and the gentleman who delivered the bed was so nice and interested in being helpful and set up the bed in the living room for me. The bed was very clean and also comfortable. After getting our chair lift fixed, they came very promptly after being called to pick it up. If you ever have a need to rent any medical equipment, I highly recommend this company. From the lady who answered the phone to Mr. Jamal who brought the bed, I couldn’t be more pleased with their efficient and compassionate service.

I was very satisfied with my experience renting a mobility scooter from JK Medical Supplies. I recommend them if you are looking for such a rental in the extended D.C. area. I rented mine directly from the shop on Edsall Rd., but if you plan ahead, they will deliver the scooter to you and they offer a 24/7 service to help with issues that arise. I did not have any issues, so I cannot directly confirm how that works.

My family decided at the last minute that one of our adults would be better off with a mobility scooter because her health issues make any walking tour a strain. The first place I called did not answer and wanted me to leave a message. I didn't have time to wait around for a callback, so I kept trying. I feel so lucky that the second call I made was to JK Medical Supplies!

They were so helpful and so nice and knowledgeable. They even gave us ideas about activities in the area that we could do. The scooter they rented to us is a Vive 3-wheel. They made sure that it was the right size for our needs and gave us a demo of how to operate and transport the scooter. The scooter was in excellent condition and it worked well for us. In addition to concrete scootering, we took it on a day hike trail in the Shenandoah Valley. We checked with the visitor center for scooter-friendly hikes. The trails there are smooth enough, but we had to turn around when we got to the uneven rocky area with the obvious horse (ahem) trail.

As far as the scooter itself, I would say the 3-wheel is excellent for touring in D.C. and flat, civilized areas, but if you want more adventure with the rocks and the horses, you'll definitely want to ask them for a more rugged 4-wheel with higher clearance and more lateral stability.

I spent some time talking to them about their business and they claim that they are often called by a hotel concierge to remedy a delivery issue from less reliable rental companies (I thought about that company that didn't even answer the phone). They sound very dedicated to customer service. I did not need anything above and beyond, like middle-of-the-night service or delivery, but I did see firsthand how customer-friendly they are. It is very hard to find good customer service, but JK Medical shines in that regard. They also claim to personally research each product the sell/rent. They have a lot more than scooters.

Our family member had a big smile on her face and laughed at being able to leave the rest of us in the dust, for once. It was a big contrast to what we usually deal with: a grumpy, droopy, sad face.

Thank you JK Medical for making our visit to Virginia and D.C. a lot less strenuous and a lot more fun for our family!
