Dr Balloch was my mom’s doctor. My mom passed away in 2022. She had MDS. There were all kinds of problems leading up to it that were actually symptoms that Dr Balloch missed. I bet this review will be removed. One thing that really showed the neglect was my mom’s hearing. When i got her to the hearing specialist her ears were filled with wax. I thought all doctors checked your ears. My mom said Dr Balloch never looked in her ears. I guess because my mom was old Dr Balloch just figured she would be hard of hearing? But my mom was having other symptoms that were treated as the problem themselves. I think this doctor is overworked but that’s her problem to figure out. I miss my mom so much and wish she had had better care. I wish i hadn’t trusted this doctor. But how would i have known? By the time the hearing problem was a problem things were far gone.

I have been a Dr Balloch patient since I moved to CA 6 years ago and have never had a bad experience- actually they have all been really positive. Her office is partially to thank for discovering my kidney cancer 2 years ago as well- they saved my life! Dr Balloch is always friendly, efficient, and timely with her visits. She is willing to really talk to you about your treatment plans, listen, and let you have a say in your care. She does both video and office visits and is easy to work with on pharmacy issues - even when the pharmacy is messing up! I can’t imagine there being a better MD in Ventura County. I am a former nurse so I am pretty picky about this too!

Dr Balloch has always been very proactive in my health care. She has actually called me once late on a Friday night and on weekends if she sees something concerning with my blood work.

I am Jack O'Neill, a Chiropractor in Oxnard. Over the years I have had the pleasure of co treating patients with Dr. Balloch. Each of her patients has related to me their unique experience with her and they all have overwhelmingly been positive! I highly recommend her.

The doctors may know their stuff, but my experience has been negative. Each time I try to get a referral, they either select a provider who is out of my network (forcing a two-week long multi point conversation between my benefits company and the doctor’s office to resolve) or their referral department goes dark. Again, taking weeks to send a simple fax. It’s clear the level of service offered here is poor. The medical advice is good, but the staff backing up the doctors’ orders has some challenges. I would not recommend this office to family or friends simply due to the consistent failures when trying to do anything other than the initial visit to the doctor. That works smoothly, and if that’s all you want, my own rating would change to at least 3/5 stars, maybe even 4.

I absolutely love having Dr Balloch as my PCP! Most personable and helpful doctor that I have ever had. Whoever doesn’t give her 5* must be off of their rocker!
