My friend used to work in the medical field & the stories about how mean people get to the people at the front counter checking you in or over the phones, is just terrible.

Listening to how this man was beyond rude to Yuri for something out of her control & she just remained cool, calm & collected; I aspire to be that gracious. She didn’t fall under pressure or match his tone or screams. She just remained polite & caring for the entirety of the conversation.

To have that level of respect, understanding, kindness & maturity is something many do not posses. Not to mention she called me over when it was my turn in line with a giant smile & continued to check on me while I set up my Kaiser app phone appointment.

I usually hate going to the doctors & having a bladder infection made me especially irritable today… I really needed a Yuri to take care of my visit today. Truly this strong woman is amazing & I just want Kaiser to know they have a really exceptional person working for them & to never let her go.

I think a lot of us thank the nurses & doctors, but we should take time to thank the others on the client facing side, because in my opinion, it’s just as hard.

I had a great experience today at Kaiser Permanente, Long Beach with my great doctor Nicole Roberts Deppe first I had good numbers (blood pressure and blood sugar and my doctor and her nurse were both so awesome and supportive they listened to me and all my concerns with such patients they made me feel special!
