The Audiology department is great. I was seen promptly and treated by everyone with courtesy and consideration. The clerk was warm and answered my questions with knowledge. Dr. Schmitt remembered me and was her usual kind, friendly, competent self.

I'm looking forward to my new hearing aids. The ones I have now are 3 years old, and they have transformed my life for the better. Not being able to hear well is isolating and inconvenient. It makes a huge difference to have well-fitted, accurately calibrated hearing aids provided by medical staff who genuinely care.

I accompanied my Mom to her annual appointment with Dr. Mary Hong. My Mom says she is very kind and patient. She listens to her. She explains what she is doing. My Mom looks forward to seeing her. During the visit, Dr. Hong also clearly explained about my Mom's health, prescriptions, suggested routines, and other wellness practices to both of us.

Since the appointment, we received results and the doctor's notes. They are easy to understand. I messaged Dr. Hong for some clarification, and it was nice to receive a timely reply.

Separately, I do like the convenience of the Kaiser app to check-in for the appointment.

I had a fantastic experience at Kaiser Permanente during my optometry visit. 🌟 The optometrist made the vision test quick and easy, providing clear explanations at each step. Their ability to build rapport swiftly was impressive, and the friendliness of everyone at the vision center added to the positive atmosphere. 😊 The facility itself is clean and spacious, contributing to a comfortable environment. They had a beautiful Christmas tree on display which I thought was a nice touch of joy. Additionally, I took advantage of the available shot station for my flu shot—a convenient service that I appreciated. Looking forward to sharing my thoughts on the vision center downstairs in a separate review.

I was called to be seen very quickly after check in. The receiving nurse/MA/CNA was very kind and friendly. She gathered necessary info for my visit. When Dr. Yoo arrived she was also very kind, informative, listened to my concerns and answered my questions. I appreciated her taking time and the attention to details of my examination. Overall a very helpful experience.

When we arrived to check in, discovered our appointment had been canceled due to therapist being sick. Message had been left on my mom's (patient) phone, but doesn't check her phone regularly, if she has it turned on. I was frustrated at the situation after I drove over an hour to bring her to the appointment. The registration clerk was very appollogetic and quickly made some calls and was able to find a therapist that could see mom right away. I recognize my mom not seeing her message was the problem, but am so appreciative of Kaiser stepping up to fix the problem. Really above and beyond customer service expectation. Thank you so much.

Dr. John Chan, MD, Ophthalmologist at Kaiser Permanente in Union City and Fremont, California, is perfect, in my opinion! In my follow-up appointment following cataract surgery: (1) He notices details about my condition and asked about my experience rather than assuming an interpretation without the patient's input. (2) He is thorough.(3) He asks questions and lets the patient talk. (4) He listens and pays attention, looks at the patient, makes eye contact. (5) He responds with a plan. (6) When he gave a recommendation in response to what I said, he wrote it down and handed it to me. He did not just expect me to remember the details. (7) All of the above occur with a personal attitude of truly, sincerely caring about the person, not just treating a pair of eyeballs. (8) And most of all -- the cataract surgery was superbly successful -- my vision is dramatically improved. He is very good at what he does, in all regards.

Dr. Yoo is a very knowledgeable and skilled physician. I'm in great hands. Additionally, she and the Head and Neck staff were kind, efficient and helpful.

I think the doctor is fine. The issue is that she did not look to be independent in her opinion. She told me that she will put "stress echo" order " on the insistence of the patient" and she is not sure if cardiologist will approve or not. Seems like cardiologist department has too much strangled hold on internal medicine department. The internist cannot order any test without taking permission from cardiologist department. This is just sad. Anyways I will change my insurance on next possible option I get.
