I wish I could give Dr. Abdelkader a zero star rating. I had never visited with him before, but I needed to visit for a medicational screening.

I have been through these many times in regards to medication for ADHD, and have never been made so upset and discomforted by a doctor before. During my screenings I have never had to be touched by a doctor to be tested for pain since I was a child seeing a pediatrician. Although, Dr. Abdelkader did this for reasons I am not sure of. I will say this again, I have seen countless other doctors both men and women, and have never needed to be tested for any pain since I was a child, and in any predicament where I was being touched they always asked me first or gave me a little warning.

He disregarded personal boundaries and told me to lay down while putting on gloves, and without asking permission or even warning me, he tried to lift up my shirt and put his hands on my bare skin. Taken aback, I told him not to, yet he still did it anyways, just over my shirt. I know it's his job to do these things, but to completely disregard the fact of maintaining personal space, especially regarding me being a much younger woman, with him being a much older man, is beyond disrespectful. I felt unbelievably violated and still do. He could've at least had the decency to ask first.

On top of this, when we were done he handed me a paper I had to turn into the office when checking out. It was a check list of health issues I needed to be screened for. Most of the issues he checked off were STDs, even though I directly told him that I have never been sexually active, and am not currently active. He checked off HIV, HEP C, Chlamydia, HEP B, and Folic Acid. Reflecting the way I was treated during the visit, I think this is highly ignorant, and if I may honestly speak, sexist and misogynistic.

I will never be seeing this doctor again. I also advise for women to steer clear of this doctor, for obvious reasons.

A very neglectful doctor. He should retire, no compassion, no communication. I’ve honestly never had such a negative experience, repeatedly before leaving.

He was very rude and wouldn't listen to a single thing I was saying, and essentially called me stupid over my concerns. When I told another provider this, they knew exactly who the offending doctor was before even looking it up so it seems he has a reputation.

Dr abdelkader is not very smart. He does not care about patients. He emphasizes the Mediterranean diet which appears to be his area of expertise regardless of patient condition. His ego is so fragile that he refuses the option of second opinion
