I wound up seeing Dr Barnes because it was next to impossible to get appointments with my other primary care doctor so I booked an appointment with Dr.Barnes for immediate care. I found her to be personable, patient and willing to discuss my health situations. I wound up selecting to visit her again for another visit, Then decided just to make her my primary care doctor Because she’s patient and willing to take the time rather than just push me through the appointment. Thus far, I’m pleased with her care which I referred other friends and family to see her. She’s easy-going and thorough but very professional.

Her automatic caretaking actions and ease of letting me tell her what I'm really there for as a human who's in some sort of medical need. These are the opening interactions a patient sees immediately.

Dr. Barnes has a natural demeanor I would say reminds me of my possible hidden ability-- the sense a dowser feels with the tug towards water underground. I know our conversation will push me to explain my ills to a trained professional who can navigate us towards my medical needs swiftly.

Once the symptoms have been discussed thoroughly, she plugs in her knowledge and proficiencies. From there on until I'm well and past the warning lights blinking, Dr. Barnes has taken the lead to guide me through treatment. She is a rare person in a difficult field of medicine, that of a PCP. Knowing the whole universe of the human body and how to help heal those who go to her for care, we're one of the lucky ones. Thank you, Dr. Barnes.

I have met with this physician a few times and have never really felt she listened to me. This week I met with her again and encountered the same experience. However, in her notes she wrote something that was entirely untrue and I asked her to correct it. She basically said go find another doctor. I will be transferring my care but would never recommend her.

My previous care provider left Sutter, who I had seen over the last 15+ years, and Dr. Barnes was assigned as my new doctor. I was pretty concerned about starting over with a new doctor. I have a lot of health issues, some age related, some bad decisions, some just bad luck I guess.

I'm one of the Lucky ones to have Dr Kristen Barnes as my primary doctor! She goes above and beyond in helping me navigate my health issues! I honestly can't say enough good about her. I was just there yesterday and she apologized for running a little late, I have no problem with waiting for her because the first time I met her I was in crisis(I had just been assigned to her) and she said she wanted to know everything about what was happening and I know people behind me had to wait but I felt like a person finally instead of a number! I hope she never leaves!
