I am absolutely thrilled with the results of my upper eyelid blepharoplasty.
From the initial consultation with Dr Kolar all the way through to the 5 week post op check up, the service at Kliniken has been superb. The facilities are modern, clean, warm and welcoming. felt really well taken care of during my procedure, not just with Dr Kolar, but his surgical nurse Emma talking me through the whole procedure as it happened and Karuna who stepped in to provide a comforting hand to hold, (quite literally) throughout the surgery.
After endless research, I chose Dr Kolar, due to his expertise in facial surgery and his impressive CV of qualifications, both of which gave me huge confidence and I couldn't be happier with the results. Cosmetically I feel 10 years younger, but as important the correct function of my upper eyelids had been restored. No more tension headaches, or tipping my head back to see, my fatigue has lessoned significantly and I feel much more confident.

Recently I had a forehead lipoma removed by Mr Kolar.
The surgery went extremely well and the final result far exceeded my expectations.
The surgery was pain free and carried out quickly and efficiently.
The procedure has resulted in my having back a normal, smooth forehead with a tiny scar that is almost invisible - I’m absolutely delighted !
The whole experience at Kliniken was first rate from reception (very welcoming and friendly) to the pre and post surgery stages all carried out with care and efficiency by the Kliniken team.
I cannot recommend highly enough Mr Kolar and his team for their excellent care of me during, and after, my surgery and I would definitely use their services again without hesitation.

Called to minor skin surgery and was impressed how easy it was to get an appointment arranged to get surgery carried out. Excellent place for finding and ample parking. Spotless clinic and felt totally at ease with the work being carried out.

Was seen in the Huddersfield surgery, as nearer to my home and day more convenient. Highly recommend the clinic, friendly efficient staff.Consultant and nurse explained every thing and put me at ease. Had my consultation and wart/skin tags removed on the same day. Very pleased with the results. Good follow up. Wouldn't hesitate to use again.

A very disappointing outcome.

Until recently I was an advocate of Kliniken. The premises they operate from in North Yorkshire is excellent and the individuals who practice there are affable and friendly. Unfortunately, this is where the positives end.

In January 2023 I entrusted Mr. Kolar to carry out water-based liposuction to my flanks and abdomen in that order of priority. My flanks have made me enormously self-conscious over the years and although the rest of my body responds to exercise and nutrition, my flanks do not and as such are completely out of proportion.

So the surgery was carried out and whilst my abdomen was undoubtedly positively impacted by the surgery, my flanks were not. I was told to wait for up to a year for the swelling to go down and for the effects to be seen. I immediately stated my flanks were not swollen, tender or had reduced in size so I wasn't convinced they had effectively targeted this area. I was told not to worry and the year wait was reinforced to see the full results. During my follow-up consultations I continually fed back that my flanks were not tender and had not reduced in size. As before, my concerns were dismissed.

It's worth mentioning that I fulfilled all my post-surgery obligations - daily cryotherapy which was a 2 hour round-trip and I wore a compression band to the affected area all day, everyday. I ate well and continued to train post-surgery excited to see the final results.

Unfortunately the final results never came. I requested a follow up consultation with Mr. Kolar who accepted responsibility for the lack of results. He said he'd positioned me on my back during the surgery meaning he couldn't accurately reach my flanks. He also stated he didn't feel the water-based liposuction was an effective solution for my requirements and the incisions weren't close enough to the rear target area. I accepted that mistakes can happen and Mr. Kolar said "let's get you back in for surgery". I said I'd leave the ball in their court to come back to me with suitable dates for surgery in Doncaster where they could carry out further, more conventional liposuction.

I left it 3 weeks and contacted Kliniken as I hadn't heard from them. They said they'd come back to me 2 days later with some dates and prices. Prices? Surely they weren't going to now try and charge me for the poor results I'd encountered. They were. They said they were going to charge me £2,500 for further surgery.

Kliniken then rather cheekily suggested my weight had increased and that was the reason for the poor results. For the record my weight has increased - I've been weight training for muscle growth since my surgery. Weight is not an effective barometer for this surgical process. The measurement around my flanks has not changed an inch other than swelling around my abdomen immediately post-surgery. To take responsibility face-to-face for the lack of results, then hide behind an email in attempting to divert blame for the lack of results really is poor form.

As a business consultant I expect people to take full accountability for mistakes and correct them where necessary. During my interactions with Mr. Kolar and his associates, they have shown themselves to be desperate for growth, recognition and financial reward. Even when they failed to carry out my surgery effectively resulting in a woefully unsatisfactory outcome, they have attempted to divert the blame and capitalise financially.

Don't be swayed by the premises, idyllic location or the affable nature of the employees within Kliniken. If you are looking for an effective liposuction procedure, I would recommend you overlook Kliniken and instead focus on a practice with higher ethical standards and core values.

I am so pleased I found Kliniken.
The building is modern with a lovely ambience in peaceful surroundings.
Karuna was fabulous organising my appointment and paperwork.
On the day of my surgery we were greeted by Karuna and given refreshments.
Mr Kolar was very friendly and put me at ease. He went into great detail explaining how my problem started, and how he was going to resolve it and the after care.
During surgery I can honestly say I didn't feel any pain or discomfort.
I highly recommend Kliniken and I would definitely use again.
