I’ve had an amazing experience at LA L. Acupuncture & Pain Centre. The staff are professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely care about your well-being. I came in for treatment due to pain and tension, and the massage therapy combined with acupuncture has made a significant difference. The environment is clean, relaxing, and welcoming. I felt listened to and treated with great care throughout the whole process. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for effective pain relief and holistic care!

I recently visited this massage place, and while the technique itself was decent, the overall experience made me feel very uncomfortable. What was not communicated to me beforehand was that I had the option to request a female therapist. Instead, the owner of the shop, who is a male, was the one performing the massage.

During the session, I was asked to remove all my clothes except for my underwear, which already made me feel uneasy. The covering cloth provided was too thin and small, making me feel exposed rather than properly covered. At one point, when he lifted the cloth while adjusting my posture, I felt an overwhelming sense of discomfort and insecurity.

Additionally, throughout the massage, the owner kept emphasizing that many young women prefer female therapists but that he is the most skilled because he trained the female staff. His remarks, combined with the lack of proper privacy measures, made me question whether my personal boundaries were being respected.

While I understand that professional massage therapy can sometimes require specific techniques, I strongly believe that ensuring clients feel safe, comfortable, and respected is just as important as the technique itself. Unfortunately, I did not feel that level of respect or security during my visit.

I highly recommend that female clients be aware of these issues before deciding to book a session here.

I recently had an acupressure session, and it was an incredible experience. The combination of gentle needling and deep tissue massage brought immediate relief to my back and shoulder tension. The practitioner was knowledgeable, professional, and took the time to explain each step, which really helped me feel at ease.

Let me tell you a little about my experience at this beautiful place. From the moment you enter, the energy of the place feels incredible. But what I really want to talk to you about is my body pain. My shoulders and neck are the ones that were giving me problems, and I saw an ad and contacted Miss Jamie. She was very kind and scheduled an appointment for me. She is really professional at her job because she was putting pressure on the place where I had the pain. I really avoided moving every time she pressed the place where it hurt to avoid hurting myself. And she did a great job. She is very kind and transmits great energy, just by talking to you and smiling. I really came out like new thanks to her work. I recommend them, do not hesitate to make an appointment with them.

This place is not for the faint of heart. If you're looking for a non-traditional type of deep tissue massage, I would highly recommend asking for the owner. I've also tried the fire cupping and herbal treatment which were all amazing. Everyone here is super friendly and accommodating and it's very easy to book an appointment. 10/10 experience.

I've been to L Acupuncture several times, and a recent accidental run-in with Jamie turned out to be one of the best things to happen to my wellness routine. Since Jamie became my regular massage therapist, I’ve felt more motivated to return for treatments—and for good reason!

Jamie is incredibly talented, intuitive, and knowledgeable. She takes the time to truly understand where your pain is coming from and applies just the right amount of firm pressure to relieve it. Every session with her leaves me feeling like a whole new person—lighter, calmer, and completely stress-free.

What truly sets Jamie apart is not only her skill, but her ability to communicate clearly with non-Chinese-speaking clients like myself. While the rest of the team at L Acupuncture is fantastic, I’ve occasionally faced language barriers. Jamie’s bilingual fluency and warm personality make every visit smooth and comfortable.

Highly recommend booking with Jamie—5 stars all around!

The lady that gave me the massage was really nice and caring! She gave me a few tips to prevent stiff neck and back also. I was able to make a same day appointment which was great. I feel very relaxed after the massage.

A little hidden gem in Alhambra. Hands down the best place to go for a massage, especially if you have chronic pain. When my boyfriend and I arrived we were asked where we had pain. So I immediately knew that we were at a legit spot and we weren’t going to get generic massages. I have had shoulder tightness for years, and I’ve gone to so many massage places here in sgv. They’re all priced the same, around $60 in this area, for a head/shoulders/neck massage. But this is the best value spot. My massage therapist was the woman who’s also at the front desk. The beginning of the massage was on the chair in the lobby. Then the rest was in the room. I could tell she knew exactly what she was doing because every touch was effective. There wasn’t any wasted time or just rubbing. I have also paid for many Zeel and Soothe massages (over $120 for 60 min), and i think this place is better. They have a membership plan. I bought it 😂 stop looking, this is the spot.
