My mother recently had surgery at this Hospital. She spent two days and one night here. She was able to have her own room on the 6th floor. Night nurse Kristine and her CNA were amazing. I stayed with my mother all night and was glad to see the nurses constantly checking in on her and making sure she was comfortable. Every staff member we interacted with was very polite and helpful. Thank you LADMC!

These people are awful! It's hard to get somebody on the phone. They don't call back when you leave a message. Their customer is terrible. When you go into one of these offices it looks like you're in a 3rd world country some where! I saw the doctor and she barely addressed my problems and pushed me out of the door! The staff is super unhelpful! They didn't take my insurance because they failed to report to anthem that the doctor on my insurance card doesn't work there anymore and hasn't for TWO YEARS! So I had to pay cash and then they referred me to a list of doctors that don't take my insurance!!! So what did I pay $45 for? When anthem called them back to correct the mistake they didn't refund my money nor did they forward the referral codes to the doctor they referred me to that didn't take my insurance and I had to find that out on the day of my appointment! These people are the worst! Do not do business with them! This is a total scam! You're not going to get good health care if you do business with these people! If anything bad happens to you after you deal with them, it's 100% your fault! You have been warned! Hopefully it's not too late. This place needs to be shut down immediately!

They used to serve with urgent care but now they closed it and you must have appointments to see a doctor.

The clinic receptionist staff needs better training in phone etiquette. They don’t ask to place you on hold they just cut you off and put you on hold so hopefully it’s not an emergency. I was returning a call for an update on my elderly grandmother. They had called to tell us her transportation was there and they couldn’t find her. The first time I called I was cut off and placed on hold. The second time the lady on the phone was defensive, lacked empathy and threatened to not help me. Can you imagine asking if they found your grandmother and them refusing to provide you with a clear and concise answer? This staff needs to learn how to efficiently assist people, not tell them to “Calm down” and threaten to not help them especially when people are already frustrated with their lack of empathy and lack of crucial information. You can’t call someone and tell them their elderly grandma is lost and expect them to be calm, you guys are the “professionals!” I hope management assesses this incident and figures out a better way to handle things going forward.

Called the operator and requested to speak with the intake department for behavioral health.
Spoke with a gentleman and inquired what is the process for establishing care. He stated I had to fax over a packet I inquired where do I acquire this packet. He transferred me to a supervisor the supervisor stated I needed to call the intake department and the intake department said I need to call…. I immediately hung up. Very unfortunate that no one seems to know what steps patients need to take to establish care.

In August of '22 I walked into LADMC with severe stomach pain. I had been throwing up every hour for 13 hours straight and was incredibly dehydrated. Despite every sign pointing to appendicitis they treated me for nausea - even though I said over and over again I was not nauseous, they gave me anti-nausea medicine via an IV. After fading in and out of consciousness for 4-5 hours while Dr. Bonni screamed at the patient next to me that she probably had herpes (she came in for a headache, did not speak English and was 85+ years old so really fantastic patient care from Dr. Bonni) I overheard Dr. Bonni yelling at a nurse who was working that the patient on the end had appendicitis (thats me, I am the patient at the end). Even though I could hear the staff discussing what they were going to do to me next, I was not told for another 15-20 minutes that my appendix was bursting. While I awaited an ambulance to transfer for me to an actual hospital, a nurse tried to give me an IV over 5 times in the same arm to administer something to help with the dehydration. She ended up giving up and left my arm incredibly bruised and sore. THANK GOD they were not able to do there surgery there and I was transferred to PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital. When I got in the ambulance the two EMTS made me promise them to never go back to LADMC and told me the amount of horror stories the have heard from that place is frightening and they are surprised it is still open. They said they wish they could have warned me before I went in so I didn't have to spend those 4 hours with hardly any care in extreme pain. I am honestly just glad to have made it out safely with nothing too awful having happened but wanted to pass on the warning to others.

I was admitted to the hospital after going to Urgent Care. The staff in Urgent was very nice and attentive. Daisey the RN was very diligent in getting me admitted. Once admitted to the 7th floor majority of the staff was very professional and helpful. I would like to thank those who helped me during my stay. I wanted ti give a five stsr rating, but cleanliness can use some improvement
