AWFUL lady at the front desk! She tells me I have to prepay for my son’s blood work, fine no big deal. Then proceeds to tell me of a $30 balance from a few months ago. I say my husband takes care of all our medical bills. She proceeds to get rude with me and say I need to pay it. I say again no my husband takes care of the bills he could have it set up in our bill pay to be paid already. We pay our bills! My husband is a doctor. I pay the prepaid bill and ask for a receipt for our health savings account. She says I can’t give u one. Never in my life have I prepaid for medical and then told I can’t have a receipt of what I freaking PREPAID FOR! I’m sorry what?! And I didn’t see her ask ANYONE in here to prepay for their services as well. Super pissed! This is why I try to stick with the hospital my family works at. Done with East Alabama Health.

I am known to be a very very hard person to draw blood on.

However today God blessed me by putting me in the hands of Tsui Norris. She is kind and knowledgeable and I will wait my turn for her even if I have to wait two or three times longer in line to have her Draw my lab values in the future!

My grandbaby went for bloodwork today and it went better than I thought it would. They wrapped him in a blanket, gave him a stuffed animal, and talked softly to him during the whole time. He cried, but bounced back rather quickly. The whole staff was very compassionate. 5 stars 🌟

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff here. Lori behind the front desk is amazing. Her intuitive nature with my young child was so calming for a little one with a major fear of needles. She truly went above and beyond. She was wonderful as was the entire staff. I am so grateful we came here.

I had the worst experience I’ve ever had at a lab, on Thursday 1/26/23, the phlebotomist who collected my blood apparently had not been trained in infection control or just basic cleanliness, she did not secure the needles both times, she just let them flop around so first one just came out started bleeding, she took an alcohol sponge and cleaned off arm of chair where my nood had gone then proceeded to put it on open wound on my arm, I asked for clean alcohol sponge for my arm. The she went to other arm to finish collection she again never secured the needle and it flopped around again , she then took several alcohol sponges out of packages and placed them on the counter, I had to ask they not be used to remove needle. By not securing needles she blew both veins I have huge bruises, and hopefully no infection from her unclean practices. Who knows what she has done to others, Your technicians need more training!

This was a terrific experience even though it was the hospital. there was a lot of people in the waiting room but didn't have to wait too long to get in alsodue to the problem that I was having they check me out good and did some cultures the cultures came back and they told me to come over back over to the emergency room to be admitted. I thought this is a very nice gesture a lot of people will not call you back.

I was appalled at the way the receptionist spoke to me when I went to have lab work on 7-19-18. She threw out a number to me when I walked up to the desk and pointed to a spot on the sign-in sheet. I didn't see where she pointed, so I asked for clarification, and her response was, "Right where I put my finger" without re-pointing to the spot. Also, I thought the number she said was my call number, but it was actually the time of my arrival. She was unclear with her directions and she was terribly rude to have this receptionist job. I also noticed she was pretty rude to the person that came in behind me.

Do not here for blood work. Go to the Auburn location. Rude staff and hours long waits with not enough seating for all waiting.
