If I could give less than 1 star, I would. I was there for 5-6 hours. Left worse than I entered. 4 IVs. Requested water and food from waiting room and lobby. Left with only 2 Tylenol, CT Head, and Grahm crackers. The security and valet team are amazing. My Chart does not align with what’s told in hospital. Called to fix appointments for a month. Wait on hold for 30 mins to have the line hang up. Thanks for the service.

The day after ER visit, they offered me a job. I said, “That’s a joke”. I saw how your ER was ran. Poorly over the last fiscal year.

My wife and I were transported to the ER on Sunday -- both suffering from the unpleasantness of the norovirus. We appreciated the kind, gentle and caring attention amidst a very busy time. There was clearly more serious matters going on -- but the staff remained professional. After almost 38 years in law enforcement, I recognize the quality in those who can smile in challenging situations. Thank you.

Went in for chest/heart pain. Was seen, triaged and tested very quickly. Had to wait a half hour or so to get a room and be seen by the doctor to review the results. They are very busy but the staff was kind and helpful. Very grateful for what they do.

Hard to accurately rate as once you’re actually in the ER you’re golden! Wonderful staff and some of the nicest nurses I’ve ever had. But the Intake process? You’re in for a baaad time. Took me close to 5 hours to get in and I was considered in near critical condition with internal bleeding which they knew as I was transferred and they were informed of my condition. Others were there for 8-12 hours and were still waiting when I got in. I got accused of faking 3 times and even got told “no crying, grown men don’t cry.” By a a intake nurse. Excuse me? I lost over half the blood in my body and I’m having to sit up which is causing me to see double. I was in the worst pain of my life and I’m about to pass out and I can barely speak. I wasn’t loud or causing a commotion just quietly shedding some tears in a corner. Don’t tell me not to cry. I also saw the intake people yell at and berate 3 separate people including 2 sweet old ladies because they simply asked how long it may be. The old ladies having been there since noon. It was 6:00 pm at this point. One person (an old man in worse shape than anyone) was also told to relax and stop overdoing it. He was placed near me and I watch him struggle to the point where he let out one last breath and then stopped breathing for a full 15 seconds. He finally snapped back and gasped and starting coughing. The person with him RAN to the front desks and they finally got him right in. I pray he got the help he needed but it certainly wasn’t because of intake.

I have been to emergency services a couple times. The waiting is few hours but they do cut short in cases where they assess a faster treatment is needed.
Ones inside, the staff and doctors do everything to make you better. Thankyou lahey for helping me during my last visit.
I hope you are able to get patients a little faster , other than excellent service.

Went for an emergency visit w/ my wife early morning on sunday 12/22/24. The woman at the reception (glasses, white-ish hair, big) was extremely rude. People come in extreme pain and fear to ER room and it is unacceptable to have people like that at the reception.

She was replaced by a friendly guy for a short while which was a breather. The triage nurse and doctor were nice too.

In these times, where people are losing faith in the American health care system, Lahey should put effort into, not better, but atleast acceptable customer service.

My wife was in excruciating pain and needed immediate surgery, but our experience at this emergency room was absolutely horrific. Despite her being on her knees from the pain in the waiting room, they didn’t even offer her a place to lay down. The staff was incredibly dismissive, claiming that her pain was manageable and that she could wait. We waited for 5 hours before my wife couldn't take the pain anymore, and we had to leave. We went home, she took pain medication, and early the next morning we went to another emergency room where they performed the surgery right away. To top it off, when I expressed concern about the wait time and her worsening condition, they shockingly suggested that we leave if we didn't like it, and called the police to have me removed from the premises. This level of carelessness and disrespect is completely unacceptable. I will be hiring a lawyer to take them to court. Avoid this emergency room at all costs.
