I have been very satisfied and grateful with my care from the Transplant team. I had a cancerous tumor removed from my bile duct, surgery was performed by Dr Kane. and assisted by Dr Jenkins and Dr Akoad. The surgery was complex and took over 8 hours. I had half my liver removed and a complex rerouting of my bile ducts, called Roux n y. I believe that Dr Kane saved my life. I believe that he has been endowed by God to have special skill as a surgeon. I also credit Dr Jenkins and Dr Akoad with great skill and experience. The area that the tumor was in was not ideal for removal and it took significant skill to remove it. I am one year out from the surgery and as of now cancer free.

I thank God (Jesus) and the team at Lahey for extending my life.
