My therapist is Karen Sutterlein. She listens, gives guidance and makes suggestions but never forces anything on me. She's very thoughtful and understanding of my mental health issues (anxiety and depression) due to traumatic experiences. I have faith that with her working with me I'll get through this. I recommend her highly.

Considering the current economic climate you would expect for a therapy office to be a bit more compassionate and understanding about missed co-pays. They claim co-pays are due at the time of the appointment but will wait weeks to actually charge your card. First time this happened they took from my rent money and now they wait three weeks to charge me (twice) and I don't have it. There's no empathy just a snarky reminder that copayments are due at the time of the appointment.

If that's the case then why are you charging me for an appointment from 6/3 on 6/25? How do we go from 'time of the appointment' to '22 days later'? And when I checked my patient portal my balance yesterday, before my appointment, it was $0.00.

Considering the negative effect of financial stress on mental health, you would think that they would have a better approach to this. Maybe their staff should train them on being understanding. I asked the girl who called me "what can I do? my [bank] account is negative 90" and she answered me with "I don't know". I'm already in a bad financial situation and instead of offering a solution she made me feel worse about myself.

The only reason why I stay here is because of my providers were all good and it offers telehealth so I'll give two stars for that. But if you are like me and living paycheck to paycheck, but are trying to get help to better yourself and your situation... Be careful, especially if you're telehealth! because like I said, and my bank statements and appointment dates prove this, they don't follow their own policy!

edit: I just checked my account balance after writing this review (so I can know exactly how much I owe when I get paid tomorrow) and it's still sitting at $0.00. interesting.

I've been with Mid-Atlantic Behavioral Health, now part of LifeStance Health for around 5 years now. It's just a Great place, with great people and always a wonderful experience whether I'm seeing my therapist or psychiatrist. Everyone is ALWAYS kind, courteous, and very helpful as any issues I ever have are typically resolved the same day. They offer virtual and in person appointments, which is really nice for me because I live a couple hours away from their office, so I've ways been able to do virtual visits. I highly recommend them if you're looking for high quality care!!

My daughter has been with this office since 2014 and it was great in the beginning. However, after they switched to Lifestance she has been dropped by multiple doctors as they keep leaving the practice so she keeps being thrown from 1 doctor to another. How can a person build a solid relationship with a therapist when they are constantly being dumped? They make you have no other choice but to have to look elsewhere for your own well being. I would suggest going elsewhere

You mentioned that I selected you - I didn't. I stayed because my counselor, Dan Weintraub was there. Since LifeStance has taken over, Dr. Weintraub and I have had difficulties connecting via phones. There was even once that we had to have a regular call because nothing would work. I have wifi with antivirus, etc. and never had this problem with any of my other doctors.
As for docs, the only reason I stayed was because it's where Dr. Weintraub is located. Otherwise, I would have found somewhere else for my counseling.

Ok, we've now reached the level of ridiculous. They keep asking for my new Insurance card - neither Medicare nor AMerico Part G insurance numbers don't change so the cards and medical numbers are the same. Then they sent me a bill for $20 and change. I didn't feel like dealing with them so I just paid it. I couldn't get anywhere with LifeStance so I called AMerico directly. Turns out Medicare pays their portion and then forwards the bill to AMerico. So LifeStance is trying to double dip. They not only got me to pay the small bill, but AMerico has been sent the bills by Medicare and not only did AMERICO pay them BUT LIFESTANCE cash their checks; they then tried to get me to pay Americo's portion -- I believe that's called double dipping. 💰💰💲💸💸

This was for 2022 after all deductibles bad been met.

LifeStance is horrible they caused me to lose my job. The therapist Heather Brown lied and told me she was not licensed to fill out FMLA paperwork and the psychiatrist told me they don’t sign FMLA papers for new patients. This was a horrible experience I would never recommend anyone to this practice. They have a true I don’t care attitude. All Heather Brown told me was “I’m sorry” to hear that happen. I will be filling an EEOC complaint.

Greedy & money-focused. Does not care even slightly about customer problems. Have been trying to contact their Billing Dept. for over 4 months now through a variety of methods and gotten absolutely no where. Just voicemails, no callbacks and generally unhelpful staff.

Also ludicrously overpriced evaluations, even with insurance. Just go to your General/Family Doctor and talk to them about mental health assistance or medicine.

Excellent counseling for my grandson. Ms. Vivian is very thorough and works at a great pace.
