Office is consistently rude when scheduling appointments. There is never any availability for even a routine checkup. We’ve been with this clinic for the past 3 years and we are choosing to find a different healthcare provider for our 1 and 3 year old sons. Very disappointing!

Started bringing my babies here since they were born. The last 2 years were great but recently I have had way too many concerns with this place. Absolutely disappointed!

I was on my way to my appointment which is 40 mins away from home when I received a call from Dorothy saying they had CANCELLED my appointment which I made weeks ago with great difficulty as it’s never easy to make an appointment with them. When I asked her if they can reschedule my appointment, she RUDELY said no. I drove back home and gave them a call to schedule a new appointment, and to find out she can’t schedule it on any of my day offs. I hung up and gave it a good thought and decided to call-off from work and take the appointment (which she said was available) because this appointment is crucial to me. I then called again 2nd time and she placed me ON-HOLD for 18 mins. And every time I called them after that, my call would go straight to voicemail. I believe she did this intentionally just to avoid assisting me with the appointment all together. Never received a call back from them either. I expected better customer service. Way to go Dorothy!

This is a terrible establishment. The staff have absolutely no regard for patients’ time. I’ve called over 8 times and have only spoken to someone on the phone 3 times. I’ve been transferred from Pediatrics to Adult Care multiple times, and still, have not been able to get a hold of anyone. I made my appointment 3 weeks ago, called to follow-up, but I was unsuccessful in getting a hold of anyone. I uploaded my insurance card to MyChart, they called and said they didn’t have my insurance on file. I called them back to tell them it was updated but they still claimed they didn’t have my insurance. I needed to be seen by a doctor because my tonsils are constantly inflamed. I wanted to referral to a specialist for surgery. On the day of my appointment, my GPS took me to the wrong place because they sent me the wrong address. I called twice to tell them I would be late, no one picked up. I went to the office, explained what happened, and that I needed to be seen. They told me that despite having an appointment I couldn’t be seen because I missed my appointment. To add insult to injury, they told me I should go to Urgent Care. I then asked them what appointments they had available, they said the closest one was on the 19th of May. I walked out of the office and didn’t say another word. I was under the impression that Loma Linda cares about their patients. That they have a reputation for excellence. But this office and their staff in particular is not a reflection of that positive reputation at all. They are the complete opposite. They treat people badly, are very inconsiderate, have no regard for others’ time, and apparently, not one of the front office staff want to do their jobs and pick up the phones when patients call. I regret seeking out Loma Linda to help me with my health issue. This office and their staff are a complete and utter disappointment. No semblance of class or professionalism at all. It seems they’ll hire just anyone these days.

Our experience with this pediatrician's office over the past year and a half has consistently fallen short, leading us to recently switch providers due to subpar care. Several concerning issues persist each time we visited.

Firstly, there is a recurring problem with medical assistants misrepresenting themselves as nurses, which is not only misleading but also illegal. Discharge papers, a crucial element of post-visit information, are rarely provided as expected, depriving us of essential details about our child's vital signs and discharge instructions.

During a visit for a a fever/respiratory issue, a medical assistant used a faulty forehead thermometer, initially reporting a normal temperature despite visible signs of fever. I requested a retest and a new thermometer, the medical assistant reluctantly retested and revealed the accurate reading (my child did indeed have a fever). Please note I requested an oral thermometer but they do not have any there. The thermometers they use do not appear to be medical grade, they use the same type I once purchased from Amazon. We through that forehead thermometer away because it continued to give us inconsistent readings- and guess how surprised I was seeing that being used at this office.

On that same visit, we encountered an instance of falsified documentation. The medical assistant falsely documented and claimed to have checked our child's pulse oxygenation level, a procedure that was never performed but documented as complete.

The medical assistants also informed us the flu shots were not administered at their clinic, yet the physicians said they do.

Despite raising concerns with the physicians, many of whom are resident physicians, meaningful resolutions are elusive due to their transient nature. While a couple of medical assistants exhibited kindness, others were dismissive, mirroring the front staff's dismissive attitude. Phone communication is consistently substandard, with calls often unanswered, being hung up on, phone number not working, leading to frustration.

Our interactions with physicians present a stark contrast, as they have consistently shown kindness and willingness to listen. However, the rotational nature of resident physicians impedes the establishment of consistent care.

This facility, being a teaching institute, relies on resident physicians for clinical hours, but our overall experience has left us with a strong recommendation against choosing this provider. A complaint has been filed with no discernible improvement, underscoring major systemic issues.

Moreover, the difficulty in securing appointments, frequent phone malfunctions, and dismissive front staff further compound our dissatisfaction. We advocate caution for those considering this office, emphasizing that our switch to an Orange County provider, such as Optum in Costa Mesa or, CHOC primary care has showcased a stark difference in quality.

For those seeking reliable and accurate pediatric care, exploring alternative providers is highly recommended to avoid the myriad challenges posed by this pediatrician's office.
