Following my grandmas hip surgery, the hospital recommended a few places in the area and encouraged for us to tour. Despite all of the nursing home horror stories, this place really exceeded our expectations. First of all, it did NOT smell. The staff was very professional and accommodating. The therapy team was great! My grandma was able to get the rehab she needed in a short amount of time and is now back home. Thank you Manzanita!

Unfortunately my experience in having my mother here was absolutely horrible. There is an extreme lack of communication with care. The doctor (Dr. Peltz) is very incompetent, rude, uninformed and no one is able to properly answer questions. The diet they served wasn't appropriate for a diabetic. My mother's condition worsened while there. I was told she developed pneumonia and she was given antibiotics for it then on day 5 of the antibiotics we were told they made a mistake and she didn't have it. This facility also had several COVID cases and there was no separation of COVID patients from others. Overall this facility was horrible. I had to make serveal appeals and complaints. The were trying to kick my mom out under the guise of being on Medicare and she isn't a Medicare patient. She has full Kaiser insurance. It was a horrible experience and if you have a loved on there, show up everyday and make them keep you informed. If your loved one needs lots of physical assistance I do not recommend you send them here.

This facility is clean and welcoming. I had my uncle stayed here and he had the best experience he had. From the nursing staff to the rehab department, you can feel the care. I highly recommend this facility.
