My primary care doctor left and they failed to inform me so I didn't get my prescription when I needed it. Went back in to get another primary and get my prescription replaced, which registration said my insurance was accepted. Later on find a bill at my door for the simple appointment for 545 dollars. Turns out registration lied and my insurance wasn't accepted. They said it was my failure to check even thought my HR said it was accepted there as well. Shouldve listened to the 1,000 others that told me this place sucks. Trust them. Go anywhere else. The last amount of money they'll get from me.

I had left surgery reversal shoulder on 1-16-25. From the anesthesiologist to the doctors and nurses I had very good care. Answered all questions which I had many, to being so supportive, helpful, compassionate and caring. It was more than anyone could ask for. Very professional staff. Great facility!!

I recently visited the emergency room. I am a 69 year old male who entered with upper respiratory problems back ache, bad congestion, pounding migraine. I was attended to by Doctor Lassner.
Holy buckets what a great doctor
Kind, knowledgeable, I was in given advice and medicine to help me. He and staff made follow up appointments.
This doctor is one of the best at the
hospital in my opinion. I wish you could award him the doctor of the month or year what ever. And I want to add I have visited unfortunately, the emergency room at least five times in the past.
He is worth it.

My mother fell down the stairs earlier today, and my father immediately rushed her to this hospital to urgent care as it was the closest one and we live in Juneau. As soon as she arrived she needed X-rays, and Dawn who did her X-rays was incredibly rude and outright disrespectful to my mom. My mom was in excruciating pain and Dawn would bark orders at her to hurry up and lift her arm up (which we found out was broken), commanding her to stand up when she was about to faint, and complain about how my mother wasn’t moving fast enough. She had absolutely no compassion whatsoever.
My mom was so put off by Dawn that she requested another person do her second round of X-rays that she was scheduled for.
My mother is the kindest, most understanding person I’ve ever known. So for a worker like Dawn to treat her like that and make her feel that way in the state she was in is unacceptable. I do not understand why Dawn would go into this profession if she’s just going to be a terrible, unhappy and miserable health care worker. People that come to you for help and in pain deserve better and to not feel like a burden, so please do better.

I went to the ER/Urgent Care with severe stomach pain that had started a week earlier. I had been throwing up anything I ate. From the minute I entered everyone was very kind to me and they got me in to a room very quickly. The two nurses were awesome. I saw 2 different doctors and both were very knowledgeable and got answers to my problems rapidly. The CAT Scan person was also very helpful and kind. By the time I was discharged, I was feeling much better and had a clear understanding of my diagnosis and treatment plan. Thank you to all the intake clerks, nurses and doctors who treated me so well! I really appreciate all you do.

Yesterday I was given a true lifesaving gift & wanted to post today bc it could've gone SO badly otherwise.
My local GP had essentially abandoned me for no particular reason over an essential med for me, w/no explanation given to my routine pharmacy other than "not appropriate to refill", though she'd been doing it for the past 8 mos before that.
I'm in rural WI, but I'd not only brought hard copies of my recs, but /s/ med release forms here.
So why didn't they, the med staff, mucho less my attending, NOT know what Addison's Disease was, STILL, after my being here almost 9 mos?! SHE left a note on my latest req for an emergency refill, that she couldn't understand why I even needed to be on steroids?!
So I came to the Marshfield Urgent/ER yesterday (25Aug2024), hoping against hope that someone, ANYONE, would know what Addison's was. Last time? No one had an inkling. They Dx'd diarrhea & sent me home, despite my asking almost EVERYONE but the orderly, if they knew what it was. Everyone said, no or Not a clue. I even offered a notary to give her the Google link! Sure kindly declined, said the Drs would probably have it. Apparently not. I was discharged that time w/ pills to show down my gut, & told to drink rehydration drinks. I lost 12 lbs of fluids in 72 hrs & had dangerously low blood of 3 minerals, but I was dehydrated despite drinking 3 -4 qts of water/24hrs, to which I was adding ⅛ tsp of salt e/. Couldn't keep anything down, & 1 apple, peeled & cored, went thru me in just over 4 hrs. I times it, yeah.
So yesterday, when the Register Admin I asked if she knew what Addison's was said, Yes, it's to do w/inability to issue cortisol, I almost fainted.
Then the Triage Nurse, also knew. I told her she was the 2nd medical person EVER in this area to say that. I just shut up, just mind blown!
And the Dr! He knew too! And asked me ALL SORTS of questions I'd never been asked before, not even in San Antonio, where I'd been Dx'd in the 1st place.
And truly, I'd run out of meds except if I'd gone in to take out all my doses for the next week that were meant for just the afternoons. That was only 1/12th of a daily dose, folks. Not enough to keep me alive from Sunday to Thur, when I'm supposed to see my PA, the only med pro seeing patients in a 25 mi radius from where I live.
And my son is scheduled to be working 13-14 days in the next 4 days, so even if he can take a day off to take me to the ER, why? Bc of an incompetent or care-less med pro, who btw, has been absent more than present in the clinic this Summer? Bet is she's been interviewing for another position in a bigger town. Would I blame her? Probably not, but if you're not going to be committed to the pts to whom you made a contractual obligation, then at least keep the Drs who are covering for you up to date on your complex cases. They are more likely to be calling when your not there & it's the Front Ofc who'll be left holding the bag full of kittens you left drowning. Not cool AT ALL.
The Dr this Sun @ Marshfield Medical Center, Beaver Dam, who was on call, name doesn't appear on ANY of my discharge docs btw, was my Hail Mary who threw the touch down pass this weekend. He quite literally saved my life.

I completely agree with the ZERO stars review for rating!
My father was shipped there from the place he lives due to a problem with his diabetes. By the time I arrived to get any answers personally, things had gotten completely out of control. Bottom line is I was forced to change my Father's wishes from a full code to a DNR in order to allow him to spend the night there before shipping him to another facility because they didn't want to look bad for not being able to treat him if something happened overnight, then they proceeded to medicate him without my permission, they did not call me as I requested it there were any changes overnight and the list goes on from there. (Keeping in mind I am my Father's POA and they knew it!)
I've read the other reviews and in response to the people who feel they had quick and sufficient care, my best guess is that everyone in their right mind avoids this place so therefore immediate care is available. (Have you seen the empty parking lot and scary dark hallways to get to an inpatient room?) Regarding care, my Mother worked in an ER for many years and when there are as many issues as this place seems to have, I'm sure they're on the edge of being closed down so providing good care to a few patients along the way helps keep these people employed.
This place needs to be shut down and I would advise everyone to find an alternative place to go!!

If I could give it zero stars I would. I came in for chest pain. I had just woken up to chest pain and went directly in. They got me back in a room quickly, took blood, and did an xray. They then left me there for 6 hours. I let them know I hadn't eaten anything yet as I came in when I first woke up. They gave me a little 1/2 cup of apple juice only after I walked to the nurses station and asked again. Then they tried to bring me crackers twice even after I told them I had just had jaw reconstruction and couldn't eat the crackers. Finally after waiting another hour, I got up, took my own IV out and left. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. Stay far away.
