My twin boys had back to back wisdom teeth removal procedures done at MassOMS and we are very happy with the experience (well I don’t think they are happy to have their wisdom teeth out right before New Years Eve). The consultation was thorough and the cost was clearly laid out. The procedure went smoothly and the recovery directions/follow up have been excellent. Highly recommend!

I visited the MassOMS Burlington office during Thanksgiving week of 2024 for wisdom tooth removal, and I had an excellent experience throughout the process. My case was a transfer request from my primary dental office in Portsmouth, NH, and the transition was seamless thanks to the team at MassOMS - Burlington.

Front Desk: From my first call, the front desk associate was extremely helpful and patient while collecting the necessary information. On the day of my procedure, there was a minor error in the documentation, but they resolved it promptly within 15 minutes by coordinating with my insurance and recalculating the charges. Their professionalism and efficiency were impressive.

The office is equipped with advanced X-ray technology, making the imaging process quick and hassle-free. The nurses were attentive and supportive throughout my visit, ensuring I was comfortable at every step.

Dr. Kim: Dr. Kim is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled. During my initial consultation, he reviewed my X-ray report and immediately identified the best course of action. He patiently explained the issue, the procedure, and answered all my questions—this was especially reassuring as it was my first time undergoing such a procedure. On the day of the procedure, Dr. Kim was efficient and meticulous, completing the process skillfully and even addressing a small skin tag in my mouth.

Assisting Staff: The assistance team was incredibly helpful and informative throughout my procedure, which I chose to undergo with local anesthesia while staying awake. After the procedure, they took the time to explain and provide written instructions for post-procedure care. They also ensured I left with essential recovery tools, including an ice pack, extra gauze, and a plastic syringe for cleaning the extraction site—all of which were extremely helpful.

Overall, my experience with MassOMS Burlington was excellent, and I would highly recommend their services to anyone in need of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Thank you, MassOMS team, for your outstanding care and professionalism!

This is definitely one of the nicest and cleanest practices that I've been to! I came here to get my wisdom teeth extracted and I was very nervous to say the least but Dr. Kim and his team made sure that I was comfortable during the procedure. Just had my Wisdom Teeth Extracted and I had a bit of the nervous jitters but the staff was so calm and collected it really helped relive the nerves. Dr. Courtney was who we saw at this office and the review is in no way a reflection of him. He was great. The billing department uses antiquated codes for at least one of their medical procedures. I spent a lot of time prior to visiting the office trying to find an in network provider to perform the medically necessary procedure. I spoke with 30 different providers and did back and forth phone calls with the insurance company and the providers and we went with MassOMS because the office and doctor was in network. After scheduling the procedure, I did some additional checking and found out that one of the codes for a necessary part of the medical procedure was a dental code and was going to be an issue. They accept dental insurance too and I went to the surgery expecting the dental insurance would cover the difference, but found out that day that because it was medical procedure the dental part wouldn't be covered and because the main procedure was medical, the dental wouldn't cover it either. The manager even admitted it didn't make sense that they didn't have a medical code for the secondary part, but there was nothing they could do. I waited the 45 days for the insurance to deny the portion of the claim that we paid for and then I submitted an appeal and the insurance approved the appeal. The insurance sent a check for the full amount of the surgery on the 25th of October, it was received and applied by the office on the 6th of November. I called last week to find out if they refund check had been sent out and they said that they cut checks on Thursday and mail them Friday so it would be going out last week. I called again this week to make sure that it went out and was told that it was still "processing" by the finance department and they would put a note in about it but it can take up to two weeks. I pointed out that it had been two weeks since they got double paid and was told that it should go out this week. I called again today to find out if the check was cut yesterday to be sent out today and was told that it could be up to another two weeks because it is still "processing" by the finance department. The impression I get is they didn't expect the insurance to pay for the outdated code and I almost wonder if I wasn't calling would they have just kept the double payment.

Dr. Courtney and his assistants are fantastic! They offered several options for wisdom teeth extraction but did not push for any. They let us decide (local, laughing gas, or put under) with the unbiased information they provided. My daughter chose local and was handled with care! Dr. Courtney also does not prescribe narcotics unnecessarily which we greatly appreciate. When it is my son’s turn we will definitely go back to Dr. Courtney.
