I recently visited the Emergency Room at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center, and I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible care I received. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming, professional, and highly efficient.

The team worked swiftly, ensuring that I was attended to without unnecessary delays. Despite the fast pace, they maintained an exceptional level of attentiveness, carefully listening to my concerns and addressing every aspect of my care with precision. Their ability to balance efficiency with compassion made me feel truly valued as a patient.

Beyond their medical expertise, the warmth and kindness of the staff stood out. Every interaction—from the reception desk to the nurses and physicians—was marked by genuine friendliness and a reassuring presence. It was evident that they were deeply committed to providing top-tier medical care while also making sure that patients feel comforted and supported in what can often be a stressful situation.

I felt safe and confident in their hands, knowing that they were not only highly skilled but also truly invested in my well-being. The level of professionalism, care, and dedication at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center's Emergency Room is unparalleled, and I am incredibly grateful for the outstanding experience they provided.

I wholeheartedly recommend this facility to anyone in need of emergency medical care. They set the gold standard for patient service, and I appreciate everything they did to ensure my comfort, safety, and recovery.

My experience was excellent. I was checked in quickly and seen by a doctor fairly fast. He ordered labs and scans and those were ready very soon as well. All of the staff involved were professional and just as important, kind. While my visit didn’t fix the problem, it eliminated a lot of things that were stressing me out. This hasn’t always been my experience at MSRH but the change is refreshing to say the least. Keep up the good work!

Left with more questions than when we went in. Don’t feel that the dr gave us answers. He kept asking if my dad wanted to be admitted to the hospital instead of giving his professional opinion. He was more worried about being exclusive instead of giving us his professional opinion. I kept saying you are the doctor you tell us. I get wanting to be a doctor who includes their patients in their treatments but tell us what you think. My father has lung cancer and was sick and with the systems he had the doctor didn’t check is ears nose or throat to see if maybe it was a sinus infection. Yes the doctor did X-rays and ct scan. To check for pneumonia which he really couldn’t tell with the lung cancer. Said he didn’t want to give him antibiotics because it might cause other problems like diarrhea. Really? I feel like the dr is a very young inexperienced dr and has a lot to learn. I felt like I had to keep asking the same questions over and over. He knew I wasn’t happy. Also in the middle of talking to us taking a call and leaving us. I had to ask after about 25 minutes if he was coming back to talk to us. He said it’s your policy and he had to take the call. I understand now why people talk so bad about this hospital. I will say this though you do have a great nursing staff. They were pretty good. I am thankful for that part of the visit. I wouldn’t recommend this hospital or that dr to anyone.

It's really hit or miss you just might die if you come here just because they take so long and they don't seem to know what they're doing sometimes. Mainly the doctors the nurse staff and other people are usually very good but even them express the frustration that the doctors aren't helping people quickly or good enough. Staff members apologized while I am uncontrollably shaking with 180 beats per minute for over an hour because the doctor isn't coming in.

My primary care doctor sent me there to get a unit of blood. My numbers were low. It took me nine hours to get that accomplished. The staff was very attentive and got me in right away But it still took them six or seven hours to start giving me the unit of blood.

They are real people who care. I didn't get any impression that I was just another issue. They changed my feelings about letting myself be helped opposed to being an unwanted obligation. I hope they see this because the kindness shown, at 52 years old sincerely has changed my thoughts about being in a hospital. Precious was so nice (one of the nurses) and every other person I got help from. Thank you. Your genuine and you sincerely helped me.

Everyone at the hospital was very kind and attentive on both trips there within the periods that I was there. Doctors, nurses were very professional as well and explained everything to me. I highly recommend the ER staff. They genuinely care about the welfare of their patients and try to provide the best quality of care. God Bless you all.

I went in because the day before I had to call an ambulance due to light headedness, nausea, dizziness and tingling in my arms. The paramedic asked my to see my doc or the ER the next day. After explaining my symptoms, (not very clear, as it’s hard to explain) the ER doc never let me out of the triage room. I had to beg him to look in my ears to be sure that I didn’t have some kind of infection. He told me that my symptoms didn’t seem severe enough to constitute an ER visit and to go to my primary. I could not function. I could not drive. I could have been having heart issues and he had no clue.

This was the worst experience I’ve had at Matsu Regional. I’ve heard horror stories, and always thought it wasn’t so bad when I went. I’ve had 3 bad experiences in the last 2 years. The practice of leaving patients in the hallway is horrendous. It’s embarrassing and demeaning. I had an episode a couple years ago where I was in an ungodly amount of pain with a sciatic attack. Worst my back doctor had ever seen. I couldn’t sit. I couldn’t stand. They left me in the hallway crying with only a recliner. I was there with a friend who had appendicitis. They left her in a chair in the hallway for hours crying in pain cause the didn’t have a surgery room available. There were rooms down the hall not being used, yet they keep patients in the hallway.

But, in this event, the doctor refused service. Now, I’m still dealing with the issue, can’t work, and it’s taking weeks and weeks to see all the different docs to do what he could have tested for that day. I will never ever get care at Matsu Regional again, if I have a choice.
