Dr. Jakhro is all talk and no real results. Me and my mother briefly had him as our doctor. I had to stop going to him because he prescribed me a medication with embarrassing side effects he did not tell me about. That medication made me worse and I had to stop taking it. After that, I didn’t trust him with my health or the health of my mother. How can you trust somebody who can’t even tell you about serious side effects. Luckily, I got away before he could’ve harmed my mother’s health and mine yet again. So very disappointing.

He wanted to send my grandmother to the emergency room for dehydration because her tongue was dry and she was complaining of dizzy spells. I am an NP and questioned his reasoning bc she has no reason to be dehydrated. She eats and drinks normally and has not had any recent vomiting or diarrhea. We went to see him for an early visit to discuss her low blood sugars as our main source of concern but he wanted no part of talking about that and kept saying she just needs IV fluids. He also kept referring to her abdominal drain as a colostomy and said it’s not functioning properly bc it shouldn’t be draining clear fluid. It’s not a colostomy, it’s an abscess drain that is managed in Boston and is in perfectly functional condition. My grandmother has seen him many times since the drain has been placed and he continues to think it’s a colostomy. We’re leaving this practice as a result of this. Probably should’ve left a long time ago.

I listened to a phone call Dr. Jackhro had with my daughter. I could not believe the way he was speaking to her. I actually took the phone to tell him he was now speaking to me. I am his patient also. He would not stop berating her long enough to hear me speak. He just kept tearing into her (me) and then he hung up. He never once stopped to hear what I was trying to say. As far as he knew he was still talking to her. Very unprofessional. We are both, along with our husbands, looking for a new doctor. It seems he has a problem more with women patients.

First I have to say that I am appalled SouthCoast still employs this doctor after all the known incidents he has of berating women in particular. Never in my life have I encountered a so-called professional in any line of work who has spoken to me the way Dr. Jakhro did. He became flustered with a very rude tone shortly after I started speaking. He was cutting me off and would not allow me to finish while just describing my symptoms and recent ER visit. He dismissed what I believed to be happening (per the ER) because he had never seen a case personally. I went to him for help while in severe pain and he failed miserably at his job. Not only did he fail but he left me feeling worse at the end. He is not my doctor but who they had available that day. He made a point to tell me “you aren’t even my patient”. Luckily I went to South Coast urgent care that same day and received proper care and treatment that I am thankful for. If left to Dr Jakhro’s care my condition would have progressed in a couple days time to a dismal point that I’m grateful it didn’t get to. Medical mistreatment is one thing (that was his rightful uneducated opinion) but the other sort of mistreatment I received is completely unacceptable and uncalled for. I hope South Coast Health starts taking these complaints more seriously for the sake of all his future female patients.

My experience with Dr. Mazhar is been great since the first visit. Always caring and answers all my problems and questions I have. My experience could not be better. Hope to have this doctor for a long time, he always makes sure I have the right medication and treatments I had on my last surgeries.

Fantastic primary-care physician!! Dr. Jakhro is an extremely knowledgeable and professional health care provider. He is kind and compassionate with a sincere and genuine manner about him. He is also very thorough with great communication and inter-personal skills. I feel Dr. Jakhro truely cares about me as his patient- something rare in this day and age. I would highly recommend Dr. Jakhro to anyone seeking a primary-care doctor.

First and LAST visit!! My brother in law had his first visit to this doctor last week. The doctor told him he wasn’t sick and that it was all in his head. He turned the computer screen around to show him how many times he had been in the hospital... for no reason, he said.
Well what about his quadruple bypass, blood clots in his lungs, aneurysm in his brain and along his spinal column? What about the blood in his urine? What about the mass in his liver? What about his severe chest pain that brings him to his knees with pain? What about the stroke he had a couple weeks ago? What about his O2 level at 90? What about his erratic blood pressure? And, my brother in law has special needs. He has a bit of difficulty communicating clearly due to a speech impediment.
There was no compassion, no understanding, no empathy, no listening, and no plan for any care. Truly unbelievable. Shockingly bad patient care.
