A Frustrating Experience with This Hospital

I have been extremely dissatisfied with my experience at this hospital. I need to see my gastroenterologist every six months, and as scheduled, I had my appointment in mid-January. During that visit, my doctor ordered blood tests which included the blood text for my thyroid, so I went to the hospital’s basement lab and had my blood drawn that same day.
I have no idea which department is responsible for this issue. Where did my blood sample go after it was drawn? Did the lab department actually process my sample after collecting it? If they did, where did the test results go?
Did the front desk staff at the gastroenterology department actually pass my messages to the doctor and nurse? I have called 10 times over the past three weeks—did the doctor and nurse ever receive my messages? If they did, why haven’t they responded to me?
Could my test results have been lost? And even if they were lost, when will they inform me or issue a new lab order?

Now, it’s already late February, and I still haven’t received my test results. At the end of January, my doctor’s nurse called me, reminding me to get my blood test done. I told her that I had already completed the test on the day of my appointment. However, she said they hadn’t received the results yet.

I clearly remember that the person who drew my blood was unfamiliar, and when removing the needle, he accidentally rotated the entire needle inside my vein. It was extremely painful, even though he apologized.

Until today, I still haven’t received my test results. Over the past three weeks, I have called my doctor’s office at least ten times, asking if they have received my results, but the answer has always been no. I repeatedly asked them to issue a new lab order if they couldn’t get the original results. Every time I called, the front desk assured me that they would leave a note for my doctor or nurse. By now, there must be at least ten notes, yet no one has ever followed up with me.

I even called the lab twice, and they insisted that they had already sent my test results to the doctor. However, my doctor’s office keeps saying they haven’t received them.

I urgently need my test results because I am running out of my medication, Levothyroxine. My doctor needs the test results to prescribe a new supply. This entire ordeal has been ongoing for over a month now, and I am exhausted and frustrated.

I went to the lab to drop off my stool sample. Because the label was on the lid. reception stated I had to remove the container my stool was in and take the sticker off of the lid and put it on the side of the container. I said here, at the front desk? She said yes. I asked for gloves proceeded to remove as instructed in the waiting room with other people. Then she proceeds to ask me if there were orders. I said they are in the biohazard bag. I told her this is a biohazard shouldn’t it be treated as such? They said it’s their policy regarding the label. All the testing I had done I tested positive for the Norovirus and Cdiff. The woman said they sanitize it and wipe the desk down. ā€œThe supervisor agreed with this womanā€. Board of health told me cdiff is not removed with sanitizer. Just scolding water and bleach. End result. That lab should’ve taken the sample removed the label themselves and placed it in the position of their wanting. God only knows how many people I potentially gave the Norovirus or cdiff to.
