Yes I just wanted to take the time to show my gratitude to dignity Health Clinic in Morro Bay I have been a patient at the clinic in the previous years and up until recently I have heard a change made in the management supervising and staff positions and the changes you guys have made has made all the difference in the world to me personally I enjoy coming to Dignity Health clinic now unlike before I completely dreaded it it was not a very pleasant experience and I just want to applaud you Dignity Health clinic for making the much-needed changes because it hasn't gone unnoticed and I could speak for myself and probably many people and patients that we appreciate everything you guys do!!

I had a very awkward situation that just doesn't sit right and has bothered me all this time. I had called one day and reached what I thought was an answering service. The lady that answered asked me the usual questions, then when it came down to the reason I was calling, I wanted to be discreet and just have the doctor call me. Even with all the Hippa Laws this operator pressed me for my information and I told her I didn't want to leave a detailed message and to just please give me a call. At this point the operator insisted that I tell her and was very rude to me. I'm having very serious health issues and this young lady is having a power struggle? Her name is Matejcek, Chandra. Then to top it off, the nurse call me who already has the worst bedside manner and had no empathy at all towards my problems was very monotone and uncaring. To make matters even worse, I'm an older guy, I left a message that was never returned even though it says I would get a message back in 48hrs or so. I'm really need help and my help just stopped...? My doctor told me I was at risk for a heart attack and my care just stopped? Now I feel like I'm on my own.

Here is what the operator wrote on my account that I see everytime I open the message system:

Pt is having * * and wants a call back.

He barely wanted to share that info with me.

He was rude and condescending when I tried to let
him know he dialed MB number and explained he will
not reach the BV office w/ their number, but it allows us
to connect pt and location.

More than Thirty Years, Still has the same furniture, stale magazines, absurdly slow prescription request times they'll take days just to input your medical information properly, front desk still just as cold hearted as it was Twenty Years ago, there's a lot of complacency in this practice and not a lot of caring or effort, and they have the nerve to call themselves a Family Practice! They charge too much for how little they actively do.

A truly unpleasant and unsatisfactory clinical experience, over the course of couple of years. Getting scolded today by administrative staff for following referral protocol exactly as I've done for several times was the final straw. I get to pay out of pocket for a cardio follow up next Monday or have it rescheduled a couple months from now AFTER making an appointment with their PA, not the Dr. This of course, is after an MD of theirs suddenly quit over a year ago, leaving me in a fix then as well. The front desk is under siege by elderly, confused patients, and while the one front desk staffer was trying their best to help, they were over ruled and under cut by the next level of their administration, who then went out of her way to rudely blame me for even asking about the situation. God help you if you question their byzantine methods. Be warned.

Absolutely terrible and incompetent rude staff who don’t have any care in the world to actually help their patients. . These clowns belong in a circus don’t go here or have your family see these people. Especially if they’ve got serious medical issues. . They will talk over you as you’re explaining how serious things are with your health like what they have to tell you more important than a serious medical issue you’re having,Do yourself a favor and pick somewhere else, somewhere else that will actually care about your health and well being, because these people would rather you suffer than be there for you and listen to what you’ve got to say.

The reception of this office will send the wrong information to you and the places you need insurance authorization to go to. I have spent an entire month scheduling ONE physical therapy appointment because of the misinformation of this office. And I’ve only been going here for three months. If I catch another error in my paperwork I’m going somewhere else. And it’s a pity because Dr. Wright is wonderful. I also scheduled a PAP smear and THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT I ASKED if the procedure could be done while on my period. They said IT WOULD BE FINE but when I came to the appointment they said they could not do the procedure. Wow that’s why I called? Why not just ask someone in the office instead of give me the wrong info? and because I talked to the doctor for 10 minutes about an unrelated health issue they still charges me $80 for the appointment. If you go here, CALL before and after every authorization and correspondence. They will have the wrong information 9 times out of 10.

I was informed 2 days AFTER my appointment that I was being referred to a physician 50 miles away and no refills left on my meds. This NP knew my history of being left with no medical or mental health care in this area. I feel angry and abandoned. My neighbor has been through some very negative things here too. Dignity Health is ruining our local doctors offices !! They are too busy and inefficient.

My father-in-law new to the area went to clinic at Morro with with a very serious issue, to the point ,the doctor saw my father-in-law and recommended he go to the ER immediately. The nurse practitioner stated she would call ahead with a referral for him to be seen. He was sent on his way to French hospital, the parent hospital for the clinic, after sitting for 6 hrs in the ER he inquired about wait and was told that his condition requires a bed and there was none available as soon as the referral from the doctor they did not know what he was talking about. Then very rudely they told him there would be no bed vailable until possibly the next day he was welcome to sit in pain in the ER chairs or leave. Well needless to say he went home, in pain, in need of medical attention. The following day we called the clinic and talk to the nurse practitioner she said to me on the phone that ER visits do not require a referral and that she would call the hospital to find out what happened and call my father-in-law to check on him and tell him how to proceed,I was pleased because I was in Bakersfield 2 hrs away. After a few minutes I get a call from pops telling me that she did call him and what she told him was that in basic that the fault was his own and he needs to get back back down there cause he should have just waited,even though they said the wait could be more than 24 hours. Needless to say I came immediately from Bakersfield and took him to Sierra regional,they recognized the severity of his condition and acted right away.it is unbelievable to me that anyone let alone a health care professional would treat a 75 year old cancer patient in such a way. Shame on you clinic at Morro!! And as for dignity health, not so dignified!!shame shame shame.
