I’ve been seeing Kim or Anna for a decade. Consistent care, excellent nurses, and they actually listen. Our entire family goes to Medical East for routine & urgent care and I go for a chronic condition. Have I waited longer now and then? Of course— its a walk in clinic! Have I been disappointed with the medical care I received? Not yet! I’m surprised by the low star reviews— this has not ever been my experience. I have been met with compassion and professionalism at every visit.

Totally 100% happy with last three years of service since relocating here. Dr. Kim is mine and my husband's primary care. I have crossed crossed this country with health issues hospitals and surgeries. I will take Dr. Kim over them all. Respect and caring!

Ms. Anna is very professional, compassionate, understanding, listens, concerned, takes the time needed to research the correct and best medicine plan personalized to your body's needs. All the staff are very professional and caring. I loved this place. I did not just feel like a number. I felt like a patient and a person for the first time in almost 20 yrs. Thank y'all all and God bless! ?

Dr. Harbin(I think that's her name) is wonderful. Since my foot injury, I've seen so many doctors at the hospital and elsewhere, and she is the first one to actually treat me with some sympathy and help me. My Ortho wouldn't give me the time of day and gave up after one MRI, but this professional has given me hope. I've been unable to walk for 6 months now, but this is the first time that I can actually see myself eventually walking again.

Very, very caring, knowlegeable, professional. My family and I have not received better care anywhere we’ve ever gone. These guys know what they’re doing. We are never rushed but rather treated like we are almost family! They are dedicated in each individual needs, providing not just medicine but making sure underlying problems and concerns are addressed and dealt with as well, and in a timely mannor. The referrals if needed are great as well. I am just super impressed with the quality of care we have gotten there!

After experiencing GI problems for a week, I decided to visit the Medical East of Decatur clinic. BIG MISTAKE! The exam went ok, along with blood work and x-ray. The diagnosis..."appears" there may be a blockage, but I need a CT scan to be sure. The clinic scheduled the CT with another facility for the following morning, so I had to go by the CT facility after leaving the clinic to pick up the imaging contrast liquid for me to drink before having the scan. Next morning, I drank the liquid and went to the CT facility. I arrived, paid for the procedure, and waited to be called. After waiting for close to half hour, the receptionist informed me that they had not received the results of my tests from the clinic, and the clinic informed her the results would not be in until the afternoon. My options...wait until the results come in but I would need to drink the contrasting liquid AGAIN in the afternoon, or have my blood work taken again at another facility across the street (and have the results in a few minutes). I asked if I would be reimbursed for the second blood work test, considering I had already paid for the test at the clinic the day before. The answer...I'd have to speak with someone at the clinic to see if I would be reimbursed. Rather than waste more time and money, I asked for my money back from the CT facility and cancelled the scan. When I got home I called Medical East of Decatur and asked to speak with the office manager. She was not in, so I left a lengthy message on her voice mail describing my experience and asked for a call-back. SURPRISE, SURPRISE...no call-back. My next steps are to file a complaint with the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners, file a Quality of Service complaint with my insurance company, and to speak with my insurance company patient advocate to dispute payment of the charges to the clinic, considering I never received the results of my tests or any treatment other than the initial examination. I will NEVER go to the Medical East of Decatur clinic again! What a WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY! I’ve talked with several people who had similar experiences with the clinic, so I’m wondering if any of the 5-star reviews are real or just posted by the staff and their friends/family. GOOD LUCK to anyone who goes there!

The Doctor is great, but the receptionists are awful, the most unethical way to greet people: what do you need? Like wth instead of saying: Good morning how are you? Do you have an appointment? Something like that!! They need people with better manners, if you don’t like the job, the pay, or have personal issues at home, just quit, get another job better paid, or just don’t bring ur d$()&m attitude to work!

At first I was concerned about my meeting with Anna, however I trusted the fact that she is a doctor and has my best interest at heart. I went in today and had severe pain in my mouth and told her when it started (3 days ago) and that my Aunt believed it to be a sinus infection that had spread. I showed her my tooth (which has split down the middle) and told her about the soreness in my jawline where the dentist that pulled my wisdom teeth (located in Middletown, Ky) had told me the piece he could not remove would eventually work its way up and under the gum as it had not seperated from the bone at the time. She gave me the meds to take the pain and swelling out as well as a rinse to help kill the infection. My next hope is that I get to a dentist that is willing to work with me about my teeth that are shifting around the inside of my mouth
