Dr Older’s limited expertise was very clear during my experience. He performed several GI tests but failed to provide details around findings. He only focused on his presumptions and when the tests did not confirm his assumed diagnosis, he did not have any guidance on treatment and simply told me I am overweight and if I lose weight I will feel better. To put it into context, I am average size, watch what I eat and exercise regularly. I explained that I do watch what I eat and exercise and can’t seem to lose weight to which his brilliant suggestion was to call my PCP to get on weight loss injections for help. Bed side manner =zero, compassion = zero, acknowledging limitations in expertise = zero, degrading = 1000%. Do yourself a favor and skip the local doc - head to Boston where the smart, caring, compassionate, knowledgeable doctors are. At least your mental health will stay in tact by not talking to Dr Older.

I've been a patient of Dr. Older for quite a few years now, and last month, I had one of those procedures involving some unpleasant "prep." Even with all the adverse news swirling around hospitals and employees in the Steward Health system, my experience could not have been better. Michael, my nurse, was excellent, as were all the other assisting staff. I want to call out Kim in Dr. Older's office for her patience with me regarding prescriptions and procedures. Thank you, all!

These days there's not a whole heck of a lot of professionals who take the time to go a little deeper and help the patient understand everything that pertains to their care. Dr. Older is one of a kind, in all the best ways! He has a certain calming confidence that reassures his patients that he is not only extremely talented but cares about their future. I cannot thank Dr. Older enough for his care and guidance, truly a man of integrity. His staff are kind and patient, very patient, since I was late pretty much every visit! Thank you so much everyone, you have no idea just how much you have helped me !

One of the worst medical interactions I’ve had. Ever. Midway through explaining my medical history and why I was in for a visit (which had to do with the upper GI) he interrupted and said I was long overdue for a colonoscopy (at age 38!). Questions about this odd suggestion met with condescending jokes and ushering me out the door. Whole appointment was about 5 minutes. No bedside manner, mocking, and clearly just interested in booking money making procedures.

This doctor did not try simple ways - medications or simple tests to help my condition. He wanted to do an upper GI, when my problem was solved with a simple test by another doctor. He would also not call in a prescription to a pharmacy, he made me take another day off of work to go get it, his reason was so that he could give me the dosing information, which is already on the bottle. This way he could bill my insurance for more money and I would have to pay another co insurance.
