on Saturday May 10th 2025 at 8am my sister and I went to Mizell hospital, she had been throwing up blood thru the night and was complaining about terrible abdomen pain. No other patients in the waiting room it’s completely silent they didn’t seem busy at all. We both go thru the er talk to the very kind nurse they tell us “the doctor will come in and talk to you in a few minutes” when “Doctor” Andrew Duerr decides to come to the room he must have thought he was in a Comedy club making jokes and asked me if I was the “bodyguard” which was very unprofessional and uncalled for. You have an ill woman who’s throwing up blood in front of you why in the world do you think it’s time to make a joke, but that must be a reoccurring Issue. Then he asks my ill sister if she was pregnant she said “no” he said “how do you know for sure” it’s not the 1950’s anymore if a woman knows she isn’t pregnant your shouldn’t need any more info if your worried check for in in her urine test. We had to prompt him for a urine test and fluids after we explain she is super dehydrated from continuously throwing up. 35 minutes passed I decided to go see when they will give us a cup for her urine and her IV I go to the nurses desk and turn to see the “Doctor” Andrew Duerr sitting in his office watching Fox News, which I find completely ridiculous. We tried to explain she has a history with stomach ulcers and They always start in the same way but our concerns fell on deaf ears. I say that because before they discharged her she told them she is not nauseous that she’s in an extreme pain and has been for hours that Zofran does not help in these situations and they discharge her with a Zofran script and a paper for gastritis. Even tho we both explained in detail to “Doctor” Andrew Duerr that we are pretty sure it’s her ulcers coming back and one had possibly ruptured. It takes one doctor to make a whole hospital look terrible and that “Doctor” is Andrew Duerr you are supposed to listen to your patience not keep them for hours make them feel worse and then release them. If he wants to be a Fox News comedian then go do that and get out the hospital! DO NOT GO HERE

We have tried to get an appointment with a Dr. For days. They never call back. Not the first time they failed to return calls or will not answer phone. My wife and I are both about to change from our current Dr. That's with Mizell, Dr. NORMAN
We really like Dr. Norman but it's just too difficult to get an appointment or communicate with his office peroid.

Overall the hospital staff is nice. It's a small town so in turn it's a small town hospital. But, Dr. Benjamin Marble treated me condescending, demeaning, hurtful, disrespectful, and dismissive. He refused to treat me and just charge me without so much as even an examination. My main complaint was I couldn't breathe. His response was quote "if you can talk you can breath." I literally begged him for IV fluids, because I hadn't been able to swallow in 3 days. If I could have waited till the next morning, I could have seen my own doctor. Which I did the next day and it turned out I was severely ill. I spent that night terrified, laying in bed fearful that my throat was going to close up completely and I could die. This man took a hypocritical oath Hippocratic oath. I imagine that peace treating me like that, he would treat you like that.

As soon as walking in the door following my husband in an ambulance, I'm greeted by the rudest person to assist me. Not an ounce of compassion.

This hospital told the sheriff that I was escorted off of their property because I got out of hand. This lie was used against me and I couldn't see my father. 15 days later he was dead. Before that the hospital told the sheriff I was escorted out of the emergency room but I've never seen the hospital or even it's mailbox or even a window in a day of my life. This is defamation of Character in Slander. Because of the lies I was never allowed to see my father and they never removed the lie. It was used in my dad's probate court situation and because of the I couldn't see my dead and etc. It doesn't pay to lie on others and yes I did press charges against this hospital. The lawyer called me crazy and didn't care about my dad being murdered his only care was why do I want to sue. Really? I miss my dad and this doesn't feel because I never thought hospitals would lie on people. I have over a 30min in conversation with this civil law breaking facility.

Best ER and 3rd floor teams I have had the pleasure of being treated by. Dr. Duwarr his ER team are very efficient and do their jobs so well.

My overnite in rm 303 I was very impressed by team members Dr. Harrelson, Brint and Brittain. Both above average.. Other names I can't remember but all were excellent. Advise ATTA BOYS AND GIRLS.

Thanks James Johnson

Highly recommend your hospital.

Worst hospital I ever been to!!!
Took my husband to check in he’s scream in pain made him wait in the waiting room no one is there looked like a ghost town and the old lady who was working the check in desk acted like she had no care in the world.Everyone is on there phones paying no attention on what was going on. I don’t know how this hospital is still open. I was there maybe 10mins and I knew I made a mistake by taking him there and we walked out. This facility needs to be shut down and the workers there need to be fired hospital should be more professional when it comes to someone’s life
