I’m giving one star only because I can’t give a zero. If you have insurance and your copay is $35.00, they charge you $65.00. This extra charge I was told is to pay for those who can’t afford insurance or the copay. I’m told this is legal but I’m not convinced. I’m going to check with my lawyer, and also make a complaint with BCBS. In any event, I won’t back here.
-Follow up-
I was contacted by a member of management today who assured me that charging more than my normal copay was not their policy, and that one customer should not be charged extra to cover another customer’s bill. In addition, they stated that staff members would receive the appropriate training to ensure this did not happen again. The individual I spoke with was polite and professional, and seemed genuinely concerned. I’m satisfied.

Was amazing been calling for over a week just to see if my paperwork was look at. As of 4-27-23 it was just pulled- I work in customer service- all the terrible review was scaring me at first- But she made me feel comfortable to see Doctor Skinner.

Very negative experience while attempting to see Dr. Davis. First the gentlemen at the front desk can only be described as rude. My wife walked up to an empty window only to be told to get back in line. There was no line or signage. After being brought back to another waiting room we waited 1.5 hours past our appointment time without any communication. At this point we gave up and left. Do not recommend.

The worst doctors office I have ever been too. The “girls” at the front desk are rude and nasty constantly. Always have a attitude. Not to mention you get out on hold over and over and they never come back to the phone. Will be reporting them and the so called manager to cooperate. Have a video we’re they are talking ugly about someone who was with me and discussing their medical Issues behind the desk and laughing. Recorded It all. Hope you get some better employees cause they aren’t It. Disgusting

I had to see this group as a main provider for a couple of years. They are a part of the Hale County Hospital System.

It started out okay. The little girl they had working as a nurse practitioner at the time had absolutely no personality with patients, but her knowledge was impeccable. Then they hired a really great nurse practitioner who knew his information and had a great personality, and things were amazing.

I go one day to get some paperwork signed and to give them my new insurance card. I was greeted at the door by an extremely rude, extremely new elderly receptionist who yelled at me and informed me that the nurse practitioner I had been seeing had left the group without warning, and to get any paperwork signed I would have to make an appointment and they were booked for weeks.

On top of all of this, they misbilled one of my previous visits (apparently during their transition of employees) and I spent 4 months trying to get Hale County Hospital billing department to send the bill to my insurance so it could be paid.

I won't knock the nurses there. Most of them were amazing. The elderly receptionist who was working there last time I visited can kick rocks. They get a one star due to my last encounter with her, and their mishandling of my billing.

Dr. Davis is excellent but the front desk is terrible. They are rude and don’t make you wait for simple things. I prefer to drive a longer distance to the Other clinic just to avoid the front desk people. Some people go there to receive treatment and help and not to add more problems to their life.

I am BEYOND satisfied with this office ! I called around 8:45am this morning because I had literally been calling every clinic in Tuscaloosa Co. trying to get my little boy an appointment for his raspy cough & either people wouldn’t answer, they were to booked, or I would be put on hold forever. I called Moundville Medical one time, the phone rang twice , they answered, and got my son an appointment by 10:30am and on top of that the appointment was over by 11:30 and got his medicine by 12:30 ! So it was literally a life saver !
