I'll make this as short as possible since I'm beyond frustrated. My first appointment in December was fine, I had no issues. My next appointment in February is what is causing me to never come back here. I was told my total at the front desk, I have a witness to what that total was. I get offered a paper for financial assistance, I take that and leave.

I then get a message on MyChart with a bill that is suddenly CHARGING ME DOUBLE of what I was told. Uh, no. It's impossible to get hold of anyone for the next week. I finally get some reply back gaslighting me about the bill, making up some non-existent reason I'm charged DOUBLE, which this "reason" is no where on my bill. This clinic charges you AFTER you leave, you'll get a surprise bill that's way more. Why? Who knows? Of course they won't respond back because they know they're wrong, that the reason I'm being over charged is not on my bill. I'm disputing this BS and then never going back. GO ELSEWHERE.

I'm sure I'll get the copy and paste generic "sorry for your experience, here's this number" blah blah to this. No, you aren't helping anyone.

Do not see Angelica Yarter unless you are looking to have your life cut short by incompetence. My father went to her twice in 3 weeks feeling badly and with a persistent cough. First she told him it was heartburn and then when he went back, she told him it was just old age. She didnt listen and didnt order any tests. When he went to the Providence urgent care and a Doctor listened to him, ran tests and he was diagnosed with pneumonia. I'll say it again. PNEUMONIA. Not old age.

When I originally started at Spokane internal medicine, it was wonderful! Very rarely do I have a doctor that actually calls you back personally. Since the switch to Rockwood it’s been extremely hard to talk to someone that is actually in the office. Recently I needed a refill on a medication I’ve been on for eight years now I was completely ignored after many calls and messages that I was told that my care team had seen. All I wanted was an answer as to what was going on. It’s now been 6 days and nobody has reached out to address any of my issues. This is also the second long term medication that has been not refilled for no reason/explanation. The first one I had been on for 19 years. Ridiculous and frankly hurtful that I’ve been put in this situation.

Posting for an elderly friend. My friends doctor has cut her hours down to 1 1/2 days a week. When she saw nurse practioner Clara Simpson she was told she needed to be seen in 2 weeks because of all that was going on. Multi care REFUSED to schedule her for 6 weeks. She has active bleeding, is weak,dizzy, and has fallen. She needed her blood pressure meds and blood thinner changed since both her pulse and pressure have been very low and she has GI bleeding. I guess her family will have to “wing it” since the clinic doesn’t care at all.
Her doctor is only there 1 1/2 days now but she can’t schedule with anyone else. She also can’t switch to a different provider within the clinic that would have time. WOW - that’s not health care. I wouldn’t be surprised if Dr. Kevorkian wasn’t on staff there for all of those pesky older patients.

Providers are ok. Nothing special or out of the ordinary. Wait times are fairly long.
Billing is a disaster. Endless wait times and unclear due dates or options. Would not recommend.

My elderly, immunocompromised, mother tested positive for Covid. She has a heart condition and had part of her left lung removed. She is a patient of record and called to see if Paxlovid could be prescribed for her. Day 1 no calls returned. Day 2 "We need to make an appointment for you in our office" as well as "It's probably too late now for Paxlovid to be prescribed".
I wouldn't want to sit next to a Covid patient at the doctor's office-would you?
I gave one star because I couldn't give them none.

Dr Yates and his RN, Susan, are wonderful. I feel very lucky that I blindly chose Dr. Bryant for my primary care physician after moving here from Illinois. He is outstanding and so is she!
The only negative I can think of is sometimes you have to wait a little while on hold if you call on a Monday. I think this is pretty typical for most health care providers on Mondays though. They do have a voicemail option where you can leave you number and they call you back so that helps.

Unfortunately this clinic has gone down the drain since Dr. Yates has left. He is now at the VA so if anyone here qualifies for care there so yourself a favor and go see him.
As far as his replacement, Kristina Bowen, I'm not impressed and write disappointed. She treated me with a lack of respect. She didn't have an understanding of all medicines and she acted as if I'm a pill seeker. She did all of this a couple short minutes after meeting me. Never mind the last 15 years of treatment history from Dr. Yates. I immediately told her I would be seeking a new primary care physician and I'll be seeing him next month at Kaiser Permanente. Good bye Spokane Internal Medicine and good luck!
