I went in late in the evening due to severe abdominal pain. They were able to get me into a room in the ER right away, which surprised me. We started out with an ultrasound and then a CT scan. The diagnosis took some time, but I was eventually admitted into the hospital for emergency surgery. Everyone during my stay was incredibly kind and caring. They always made sure I got what I needed. Especially Erin in PACU, she was super sweet. Dr. Kochevar took very good care of me during my surgery, and is very skillful. Transport helped keep my spirits up during a difficult time. Delina was very attentive to my needs and helped me so much before surgery, as well as Amanda. The CNAs were all professional and kind during my stay. Overall I'm very grateful for my care team during my stay.

My husband and I arrived this morning at approximately 9:00 AM. He was checked in and has had many tests determining the pain in his upper chest was a mass on his lung. Around noon we were told he’d be checked in because of his low oxygen blood level and put on oxygen! There wasn’t a room available and he was put in a bed at the end of the hallway and it’s now 4:13 in the afternoon and WE ARE STILL IN THE HALLWAY!!! We have never experienced this at another emergency room on the south hill!

I don't even want to give this place one star. Went in just a little bit ago cause I have abdominal pains thinking it's my appendix possibly and guy gets me back there to draw my blood. No gloves. I was like you going to put gloves on and he was like well you can leave sir and escorted me out of the hospital. So now on my way to another hospital. I'm contacting my lawyer in the morning but I do not recommend anyone to go here because these people don't care. Simple as that.

I went to the ER today, 1/1/25, due to shortness of breath and chronic coughing that I had for 3 days. I had 1 person take my vitals then was told everyone that comes to the ER had to provide a urine sample (a posted signed near the restroom confirmed this statement)....Weird for SOB and chronic cough....I then had a nurse call me back to take a blood. He said, "Let me guess, you are here with the flu like everyone else", wow okay. He took a blood sample, swabbed my nose, and inserted a line as if I was getting IV fluids. Upon returning to the waiting room, I noticed that EVERY person who was the patient, not wearing the visitor sticker, had a line started, but no one was receiving an IV. Up until this point, not 1 person listened to my chest and kept asking about chest pain. I explained more than once, it wasn't chest pains, but SOB and coughs that brought me to the ER. All my tests (EKG, chest x-ray, RSV, influenza, and covid) came back negative, and someone finally listened to my chest. They said they believed I might have the early stages of pneumonia. I was prescribed 4 medications and left with notes about adult cough and chest pain. The note on the discharge summary said that if you experience shortness of breath, return to the ER. That was my whole reason for going to the ER in the first place, not chest pain that was listed as the reason for the visit. I feel like they put different things in the notes to justify some of the tests. Also, why would every patient in the ER need to provide a urine sample and get a line for IV fluids if they didn't need them and they weren't provided?!?! The register person who came into the room to make sure demographic information and insurance was correct spent more time with me than any of the nurses or attending physician. I have never felt less heard regarding my health.

Worst treatment ever in ER. I debated on going but needed to make sure I didn't have a blood clot. Receptionist rude, after a 4 hour wait moved to the back hallway were I sat for 45 minutes while watching staff members on Facebook and chit chatting away. Meanwhile it is 2 am in the morning and I am just wish I had gone elsewhere. Stay out of this ER!

I suffered from acute lung failure Sept. 20th of 2023.
I was airlifted to this amazing hospital to begin the fight for my life. A year and a half later, I am doing great!
Without the amazing care from ALL the doctors, nurses, cna's, therapists... I would not be alive.
Thank you, everyone.
You helped me more than I would ever know how to verbalize, or show my appreciation to you all.
I guess a start would be to leave a good review for y'all . 🥰
All my love, Amy Maupin

So these people care is this; I had a server delayed concussion they offered no test what so ever after many many hours in the waiting room. They would check me in an odd small side room, not standardized. A doc eventually came by asked a dozen questions then said “ it would seem to be a concussion.”NO TESTS WHATEVER EVER CHARGED ME 2.8k … workmen’s comp too. He didn’t even do a single scan and bill reflected that .They didn’t even do a thing. Years later I still have issues and no scans to show original damage or even official doc report. They recommend physical therapy and speech therapy . I WAS NEVER TREATED FOR THE CONCUSSION 🤕 still have issues and problems with no cash or anyone to help or job since they never cleared me . I’d had to lie to get little work to earn what little rent food and medical took away. 2 years later they only remove my post… no comment. Glad I left you rotten people . At one time I felt it’ll only have been a matter of time before I took my anger out on you people as a whole . You nearly made me homeless I starved for over 18 months losing close to 150 pounds. Literally skin an bones for a period… no care no help…I wouldn’t have minded if you people actually did something at all honestly. Hate you hope your treasured family member loses their motor functions and both their short and long term memory. That how it was for me bucket heads

My other half has stage 4 cancer and multi care has been great but not the valley hospital emergency room. I took her to valley hospital and after an hour she couldn't sit there anymore and wanted to come home. But they did take about 8 people in that came in after us while we waited. I asked if I needed to call an ambulance to take her to sacred heart but they said they wouldn't pick her up from there. We headed to sacred heart but she wanted to come home and go in the morning.

Returned to emergency room and it has been 3 hours of people coming and going most the really sick ones are still sitting in the lobby. The ones that can walk went straight back. One guy can’t even talk my other half is trying to cover him with a blanket and help him. This place is a joke.

And dirty bathrooms covered in piss, the floors are covered in garbage.

If she dies it is because of lack of the service you get from there staff.

talked to head of house and she said no way to let us know when a good time is to go to ER. I told her getting her there was difficult because she can hardly walk and I would probably have to call an ambulance. I asked what the wait time was for being seen when taken by ambulance and she said she did not know. I have never in my life seen such incompetence when it comes to health care.

After 3 hours got bought back to an empty ward.they brought 4 groups back at the same time. Doctor and nurse both nice.
