I gave 2 stars bc it's convenient and has loads of parking. 1st- the dr took it upon herself to add unnecessary expense to my prescription to "help with reading" bc of my age. I'm nearsighted and haven't needed readers yet. I still have to remove the glasses to read. She did not help me, just cost me more money. 2nd- the salesman pressured me to choose my frames the same day, despite my telling him I was in a hurry bc I needed to return to work. He tried to claim that I wouldn't find cheaper glasses online bc of my prescription. Thanks to their dr!

It's clear they're a business like any other that preys on their customers bc they offer a service we all need.

Dr. Feifke, at MyEyeDr in Burlington, has been taking care of my vision for more than 15 years. I first found him when my teen needed glasses for the first time, and continued to return yearly for my annual exam. It’s easy to see that he loves his profession because he shows me my eye images and explains everything about them, with enthusiasm! He happily answers all of my questions and always engages in pleasant conversation.

The staff members have been consistently kind and helpful. The people who help with choosing frames are so patient! I must note that Nate went above and beyond to help me with the frame selections this year and was happy to answer all of my questions about the frames, the prescriptions and the charges. I actually look forward to my appointment every year. They’re the best!!

I came here for an eye exam last July and they mistakenly double-coded my exam. While they repeatedly send me bills for the second eye exam (my insurance says they haven't seen this kind of mistake made in years), no one answers the phone when I call Billing and am repeatedly sent to a voicemail box after 20 minutes on hold. Of course, that voicemail is never returned.

Have been using their services for 20 years mostly because of Dr. Feifke but ever since they changed ownership this place has gone downhill. All the good people left, service is horrific, and lab they now use for lens makes many errors. Last 2 frames I’ve purchased I have had to make multiple visits to get them corrected. Wrong prescriptions put in and glasses come back mangled. AND their high prices make the matter even worse.
Many of my colleagues have stopped going.
I guess I have no one to blame but myself as I’m too busy to find another place.
I bought new glasses and frames last November and here we are at end of March and they still can not be worn.
Had similar issues with last pair I bought.

I give 1 star because there is no zero star. Here is my experience, I went there for eyes exam and would like to give a new pair of lenses, because I like my frame. The eyes doctor is good, she is very professional. When I was trying to order lenses, the lady there took my frame to do trace, after that she did not even tight the bolts on my frame when she reassembled it. The other day, my lens fall out from my frame, I spend 20mins to find the bolt on the ground. The told me if gonna take 2 weeks, but after 3 weeks there is no update at all. I physically visited the store then, the front desk lady told me it is delayed, but she did not know the reason. Afternoon, I received a phone call from them saying that they did not have the trace of my frame. I said the lady took my frame for tracing when I visited first time. But she cannot find the record, and asked me to bring my frame there for tracing. I said yes, then visited the store again. The front lady asked me to visit next day, because they were short of labor. Then I visited next day, which is today, they told me that they short of labor because most of them called sick out, but they asked the lady to trace my frame. After 20mins, the lady told me she tried twice but did not get any information then asked me to visit next day, again! It has been more than a month, I still far away from my new lenses. It’s probably gonna take forever. If you are looking for responsible glass shop, stay away from this one.

It is unfortunate as I feel like I am always being sold something ie an upsell or forced to buy contacts there. I will say my last experience of purchasing contacts has been a nightmare. I am still waiting for the gentleman to call me back as it looks like the dr did not put the new type of contacts on file. When I tried to order contacts after my appt they did not have anyone staffed to help purchase contacts and ask me to call instead. I get it, sometimes staffing is difficult however when you do call and they ask to call you back because they have to talk to the Dr I should not have to wait 7 days to place an order

I would have recommended Insight Optical highly. However, since the acquisition I absolutely do NOT! Eye exam is fine. However, purchasing eye wear from them is terrible now. There are still a couple of people there that know what they are doing. The staff is not trained properly! In addition, they removed all of the higher end frames! The selection is very cheap now. They also changed labs for the worst! The lab messed up my replacement lenses 3 times! At least I can see now but they should go back to a better lab. If it weren't for two former Insight employees I do not think I would have ever gotten my glasses. So thanks to them but I won't be back after being a customer for over 15 years. So sad when companies take over something good and ruin it.

I've been going to this practice for about 5-6 years now, and have seen various doctors. All of them were excellent! My child now goes here too. Dr. Soll has been wonderful about answering all of our questions and helping us choose the best solution for the eye problem my child was having. I also want to mention Susan who helped my child learn how to use contact lenses. It was not easy for him, but Susan was absolutely incredible - she was extremely patient, kind, warm, and encouraging! She is also extremely knowledgeable and shared many tips that ultimately helped my child succeed. Additionally, she helped us to get a good discount on contact lenses. And that was not all, when she had noticed my child's glasses were held together by tape (he broke them a few days earlier), she fixed them for us for free! We are grateful, and cannot recommend this practice enough!
