Easy parking in Pepperell, Massachusetts.
It's near the center of the trail so you can go north or dout for a great walk.
If you want to kick it up s notch and make it a hike, then go south and look for side trails that hug the Nashua river.
Very few people and only a couple of those with dogs.

A lovely paved trail that's well maintained. Obviously a few bumps but still a great place to ride.

Rail Trail maintenance is in progress south of Groton parking. Washed out from Monday Sept 11 nighttime heavy rain. Looks like the dam that creates the pond got washed away as well.

Only seen a small section, but it is a nice place to walk etc. We saw a family of deer run across, beautiful foliage coming out.... even in the rain a nice walk.

This is a ~13 mile trail from Ayer to Nashua that follows the nashua river. It's almost completely flat. There are multiple offshoot woodland trails to enjoy for hiking or biking. My favorite part of the trail is in pepperell, an ice cream shop just across the road.
Theres also a pond along the trail in ayer, a nice place to stop for lunch, or try your luck fishing (not 100% sure if it's legal to fish there)

Google asks if I reccomend this trail for dog walking. It would be ok, however many people use this for biking. Mix that with a poorly behaved dog and someone might get hurt.
