I am writing in regards to the review written by my mother on 12/28/2024 on Yelp.

My mom purchased this unit so that she could bring my terminally ill father on a medical transport flight, all of which was disclosed in order to make sure we were purchasing the correct unit. We were assured the unit would be adequate for our needs. It stopped working half way through the 3 hour flight from Fort Lauderdale to Boston.

Contacted Jeff immediately about the faulty unit. The package was mailed via Fedex (with adequate tracking) to arrive to him within a week. Fedex made 4 delivery attempts to deliver the package, and from their notes it was refused/unable to be delivered. The package came back to me, in Massachusetts. This took two weeks total.

During that time, my father passed away. As anyone who has lost a parent or loved one knows, when this happens you are overloaded with emotion as well as unimaginable burden and tasks, like making cremation preparations and other end of life preparations.

As soon as I was able, I took the package back to Fedex and it made its way to Jeff. As mentioned, there was a 3 year warranty and I would imagine that the manufacturer ultimately reimbursed him for the full amount, whether this was done as a statement credit to his business for future use or via a check, I am certain he was made whole.

As a 'proud family business', the fact that you are willing to profit off of someone like this is down right disgusting. What happened to this unit? Was it replaced by the manufacturer, where you could in turn sell it to someone else?! This is a horrible business practice.

Made complaints about this company to FDA, FTC, CFPB, BBB and Medicare. Failure of oxygen concentrator device had catastrophic consequences to my husband's health. Company's refusal to honor its commitments highlights broader concerns about their ethical practices. This is what National Medical offered: misrepresentation of device capabilities, failure to file Medicare/insurance claim, refusal to stand behind defective equipment, and lack of adequate solution. The best I can hope for this company is an investigation into their unethical practices.

In the past year that I have cancer, I have dealt with several durable medical equipment company's. I can honestly say the National has been the absolute best, we had a small issue with a hospital bed and the owner Jeff handled the issue himself with my total satisfaction on this matter, his customer service reps are pleasant and knowledgeable. I can not stress enough, if you need DME call National Medical Equipment.

Very unprofessional & informal..they tell you one thing and one or two weeks later when they think and want is when they deliver or answer...if you have a business treat customers as a business should, by fufillng their needs with respect and in timely matter.
Everyone needs respect plus time is money and there are other places that care for customers better than they do.
So this is my opinion towards this company. They need better customers service.

It's been a hard way for 4 years they have made MANY mistakes and I Understood, but today my mother had her insulin, I explained to Jeff who's said is the manager, AND SAID THE RAPAIR OF MY MOTHER'S BED HAS TO WAIT TO THE NEXT WORKING DAY , she is feed by a tube and her head needed to be raised up ,apparently JEFF THE MANAGEMENT, do not care .enough is enough, every time you will make a mistake I WILL POST IT

They hang up people's calls. I've been waiting for more than a week for them to change my mother's. Commode. That they gave her the incorrect size. I don't Recommend anyone this place.
