I am not sure if this was due to a recent policy change and all the kinks and bugs weren't worked out yet but I had a very frustrating experience with the Urgent Care Plus clinic. I had an injury at work and went to this clinic per the Worker's Comp nurse around 8pm. I was told they did not take Worker's Comp. They told me I could go to the Hilltop Clinic. I called the Hilltop Clinic from my car and they said they do not do WC either. I reached out to a friend that works for NEA and they told me 'yes, we take WC, let me call them (the Red Wolf Clinic). Then my friend called me and said that I would have to have a manager with me to confirm that it was a WC claim. It was about 9pm by this time and I wasn't going to call my manager for this so I decided to wait until the next day. The next day I received a call from NEA stating that they had received my WC claim and I could go back to the Red Wolf location to be seen. So, I went back. For them to once again tell me they do not see WC patients. But I could go to the Hilltop location on Monday (this was a Friday) when their workers medical clinic opened back up. I asked to speak with a manager because I was given so much different information plus I had hit my head in my injury and really needed to be seen. An office manager spoke with me and stated that they weren't sure what was going on but I would need to go to NEA's ER to be seen.....

So, I made the trek out to the NEA ER and the receptionist there told me to 'always come to the ER for WC claims'. I was eventually seen but it took almost 24 hours with a potential head injury. Thankfully all was well on that front. I do believe this was more likely an administrative issue and a gross case of lack of communication regarding policies. I sincerely hope it has since been rectified because I would hate to see someone more severely injured given the same crazy runaround that I was. I know many people that work for NEA and know the providers, support staff, and everyone in between are great people.

NEA Baptist Clinic - Redwolf Clinic provided my child with the most excellent care this morning. We walked in with lab and x-ray orders and were greeted by two very kind employees at the front desk. Wendy in lab was so sweet and patient with my baby when it was time to draw blood. All of the ladies in the x-ray department were just as wonderful. We were in and out in about 30 minutes—so quick! The clinic is spotless, and their new location is very convenient. I was so impressed by every aspect of our visit—most of all by the friendly, smiling, professional staff. Thank you, Red Wolf Clinic!

Doctors at this place are among the most knowledgeable I have encountered. The art of listening to patients before diagnosing is still a practice here, which allows patients to not feel just like a number to profit from and I Imagine also allows the doctors to not feel like a cog on a machine that exist to produce money for the administration. Doctors keep you healthy here since prevention is preferable to a cure and the staff is always willing to help, they go above and beyond to meet the care for the patient.
