Sarah the receptionist has a very miserable and condescending attitude. A receptionists job involves professionally booking appointments and not judging patients or speaking down to them as if her job required a doctorate degree.

Since I started going here about 4 years ago I got a great therapist named Justin Mertz. We hit it off on day one and had a great professional relationship up to his untimely death. I was assigned a new therapist named Lindsay Fox. Her and I hit it off great. Lindsay and I are working hard on my care just like I had with Justin. We do a 50/50 conversation. Also I had very good interactions with the Nurse Practitioners at New Beginnings. They all are great and good resources for psychiatric medications. Thank you all at New Beginnings. Thanks Arthur Swanson.

I do not recommend this place. This is not a safe space for your children. Penny is completely unprofessional and lacks any ability to do her job fully or communicate accurately. My boys mother said she can barely keep them engaged over their zoom meetings and if you were a decent counselor helping and supporting the kids than you’d be able to keep the kids engaged longer then 20 minutes and be able to fill a session. I gave Penny a weeks availability to set up a phone meeting, never heard back to set a time up and then got a call out of no where and was expected to drop everything to have this meeting. Mind you; my emails had been ignored for a months prior. I’ve had a way better experience with the Seven Hill counseling. Don’t waste your time here or at least choose a different person to work with your family other than Penny. .

I’ve been going here for a year or two now and at first it was great! However they promised me a therapist ASAP and it’s been months. I go here for medication appointments and those are fine and dandy but when we confronted them about the therapy they said to call if we didn’t hear anything in a few days. After about a week my mom still hasn’t got a call so she calls and a lady picks up and tells her she’ll transfer the line to someone of higher position. The person of higher status didn’t pick up so my mom tried 3 more times and still nothing. They said to her they’ll call in a week and it’s been about two weeks and we got nothing.

I had a good therapist through here but she left and the agency failed to let me know. I was randomly just assigned someone new. pretty traumatizing when you’re already a fragile person.

I am a 52 years old man who was treated like a 2 year old. Scolded like child! I am disappointed with the unprofessional behavior of the psychiatrist I was seeing to help me in my PTSD/Anxiety/Sexual Abuse. He is condescending and simply rude. He may prescribe pills but needs a lesson in prescribing compassion. Sympathy is feeling compassion, sorrow, or pity for the hardships that another person encounters, while empathy is putting yourself in the shoes of another. He does not know these words. I will no longer be using this center. The receptionist is fabulous. Please go elsewhere.
