I never thought that after all our previous horrible experiences that I would be able to have peace of mind leaving my mom at any place besides The Elder Care Day Stay. I was beyond burned out taking care of my mom on my own for so long
and desperately took a chance at respite care at New Journeys. It was the first break I've had in six years! Theresa actually told me that if I returned outside of the eighth day, she was telling her staff not to allow me inside the home...she saw that I was so very worn out.
Take it from someone who has been through the worst in Tallahassee nursing home care , this place is where you can leave your loved ones and sleep at nights without worry or concern for their well-being. In an industry filled with staff that have become jaded, cold and removed, lacking empathy and basic human decency, Byron and Theresa are making an impactful difference. I also met Jada who handles the day shift. She is a wonderful young lady, who from observation not only caters to the needs of those unable to fend for themselves, but does so with a level of respect and caring that speaks volumes.
This might be a very long review, but it is coming from someone who has a lot to say about this little gem of a place after all our terrible experiences with other health care places here in Tallahassee.
Thank you New Journeys for the first chance to rest in six years!!!

The Owners of New Journeys Teresa & Byron as well as the Manager Tonya are absolutely amazing!

The care, concern, attentiveness and follow through I have personally seen given for what both residents & employees need are second to none.

As an employee, whether a concern or suggestion, we are heard and action is initiated & carried out.

I am grateful for the genuineness in front of clients & their family as well as in staff meetings for employees only.

As our Elderly age, community residents find themselves in need of assistance or family members are faced with tasking questions about possible next steps for their loved ones; New Journeys is certainly a valuable source.

New Journeys is a wonderful setting for patients. The house is a cozy setting that is very clean and the patients get a lot of one on one attention. I would encourage anyone with a loved one that needs 24 hour care to live here.
