My experience at this practice hasn't been the greatest at all. I don't feel like the doctors hear you out or show any sympathy when you are explaining your concerns, and nurses are not always in a good mood (I get they are overworked, but thats not an excuse). The lab is always understaffed, and the check-in ladies end up giving you an unrealistic wait time. What they say will take 15 minutes fpr you be seen, will actually take between 35-45 wait time just to get your blood drawn. I will start looking for a different practice that actually care about their patients.

I’d leave zero stars if I could. My husband’s provider is here and on multiple occasions they have cancelled his appointments (after waiting 10 months for a physical) without notice. He’s driven 40 minutes to Northampton just to be told they “left messages” twice already. After speaking to someone in their scheduling call center it was confirmed they did not leave messages or even attempt to call to reschedule. Insane that he can’t even get in to see his doctor, let alone be lied to by the people at the front desk. this place is AWFUL. Do yourself a favor and find ANYWHERE else to go.

The nurses seem to really care. That’s the only positive thing I can say about this practice. I kept trying to give the benefit of the doubt as medicine is overworked and has a lot of systemic problems. My experience with one provider in particular has been overall awful. I won’t go into further detail, but I’ve felt extremely unheard when I’ve had to be seen. My hunch is the core of the problem is multi factorial. I’m sure they book like 4-5 patients per hour to make money and providers aren’t able to sustain that. This must lead, understandably to burnout.

It also leads to lack of patient retention in the end.

I also feel that if I were male, I likely would have been treated differently by this provider.

Three different providers I’ve had here have left the practice. Every time I need to go through the whole intake process again, schedule a new appointment just to get to have a new provider. With my insurance each visit costs at least $100, so this is expensive as well as inconvenient. After my last primary care provider left I was never given a new one, so now I have no primary care provider here. Take your business elsewhere.

The director of the trans health clinic is a fantastic and thorough primary care provider. Every phlebotomist I’ve had here has been courteous and great at their job. Never had any issues with the office staff. Doctors often run behind due to high patient volume but the staff are great at rescheduling things quickly if you need it.

The only other specialist I’ve encountered was in he rheumatology department, which I unfortunately found rather dismissive and uninterested in getting to the bottom of my symptoms. I was disappointed as I’ve not encountered that sort of attitude with anyone else at this clinic.

Overall the majority of my experiences here have been positive.

I was a patient for over 17 years and just got a new PCP at a different practice. I had many problems, big and small, over the years but recently had another that made me decide to leave the practice. The main theme was that my provider consistently minimized and was dismissive of my symptoms, and was told I needed to make appointments for minor things that should have been a phone call, like discontinuing a medication I had said I might discontinue at a previous appt. I also noticed when I looked up my online medical records at one point that there was almost no notations AT ALL about these things I went in about and gave detailed descriptions to the nurse and Dr about. These might have been minor issues, but I was going to the Dr and taking time off of work and paying copays, just to make sure that was the case and these problems weren't something bigger that I was ignoring and could worsen. This was usually after a period of not going for days and days with a problem. Its not as if I was a hypochondriac who was there once a month. I saw a NP at the practice instead for awhile who was great but she left for greener pastures. (I should have taken that as a hint) and the pattern restarted again once I started dealing with my old MD and a new NP. The problem I left over was actually resolved better (so far) at an urgent care center, and the MD there actually had a slightly different, yet extremely important distinction on diagnoses and treatment. Its sad when you get better treatment at an urgent care center than a practice that you have been going to for 17 years. Somewhat sadly, I highly recommend staying away from this practice.

I saw Chalice Santorelli, NP for a NP visit in October. She is OUTSTANDING! She was kind, compassionate and thorough. Her medical assistant was very kind and professional.I feel I am in great hands with Chalice. The office staff is pleasant and efficient. If you are looking for great medical care, look no further!! I just can't say enough good things about Chalice and the whole staff!

Excellent experiences with Dr. Elsea. We have moved our children to this practice and are very happy with the timely and thorough, compassionate care. Major medical issues have been handled well - could not ask for more.
