I had a very disturbing experience here to begin my OB care. At 13 weeks pregnant I was scheduled to see the High risk OB for my FIRST prenatal visit. 2 days before my appointment I was called by the clinic and informed that I need to change my insurance because the clinic is no longer taking my insurance as of Jan 2025 or pay out of pocket for my upcoming visit. After this 5pm call I immediately got on the phone with Covered California to change my insurance to one that the clinic does take. What the business manager and the staff I spoke with that day FAILED TO MENTION is that they would continue taking my insurance until April 2025 !! I inadvertently made myself temporarily uninsured for my visit due to the misinformation provided to me by the Newhall Office/business manager. I still went to my appointment since my insurance reassured me that I would still be eligible for coverage until the end of the month and NEVHC billing department told me that I am still eligible for service with Anthem. Day of appointment, the Business manager pulls me to her office and tells me Anthem is no longer active but after calling La care, my new insurance is indeed active. Even if La care confirmed I was covered, the office refused to see me because this entire ordeal took up my entire appointment time. All of this could have been prevented if the office manager was actually knowledgeable in the policy set before her. She poorly defended her incompetence by saying they were only informed this the day of my appointment. This is false because the day before my appointment I spoke with their billing department and they were confused as to why the business manager would tell me that I would need to pay out of pocket for my visit. NEVHC NEWHALL clinic is responsible for delaying my prenatal care. And shame on the business manager for telling me “I would be more worried if you were further along”. If their business manager is this misinformed then I wonder about the rest of the staff here.

called bc i thought this was my pcp but turns out it’s not. however, the lady who answered the phone was so nice as to give me the phone number and address for my actual pcp. she also wished me a happy late birthday which was really sweet! answered phone quickly, was very helpful, and super friendly! i saw many reviews specifically talking about how bad their phone service is, but that definitely was not the case for me! in fact, the girl who answered the phone was so nice and helpful that i decided to leave this review in order to counteract the negative ones! to be fair, i haven’t actually booked an appointment and this is solely based off this one experience over the phone, however the amount of negative reviews that specifically mention the ‘bad’ phone service made me reluctant to call and i honestly expected that they either wouldn’t answer the phone, or answer with attitude. i couldn’t have been more wrong!

There very able to bill you really quick but when you need you're results read they make you do about 3 different appointments and stil give you no information

Louise Villanueva, PNP was very helpful!
My child needed to be potty train since his already 3. She talked to him about potty training, ipad restrictions and stop breastfeeding.
As soon as we got home my little one started asking to use the potty. Its been 1 day and all I could say is no accident and his been using the potty a lot!

One of my most favorite office to visit is Dr. Martinez with his staff team members in behavioral science because they have been there to take me in and take care of me and help me with my struggles of addiction. For almost two years now, I’ve been taking Vivitrol and seeing and talking with them and they’ve been recording the process and progression. With the help of the MAT program and getting assigned a therapist as well to help keep me on track, I’ve been sober for 6 months now and it’s been an honor to share this humbling experience and journey with my Doctor and friends at NEVHC.

I rlly have anywhere else to go except this place but first of all, I heard a bit of attitude coming from the lady at the front desk. Then I had to get my physical and that’s when the nurse told me that I have a male as my doctor. Why on earth would you give a teenage girl a male doctor?! Like genuinely that’s very concerning if you guys allow that. Doctor or not, men should not be handling a teenage girl’s health. Then I got switched to the Women’s Health department. I waited 3 HOURS for them just to ask if I can get an ultrasound. You guys have to do better when handling teen girls and managing time better. Teen girls SHOULD NOT go to a male doctor. Save your male doctors for the boys please. I’m still traumatized that I was almost about to go to a male doctor despite me having PTSD from men.

I'm only posting about how hard it is to call and make an appointment, I wonder do they not have enough staff to handle the incoming calls , making appointments on the phone is very hard and it should not be! I've been trying to reach them about a pre-op appointment I need prior to a procedure and I've been trying for 3 days now , this is not okay and could be a lot easier .
