I when like 3am and was in and out within 40 minutes. I have a child who has Autism (non verbal) the entire staff down to the police officer kept him busy and occupied while I got treatment. They recognized right away that he was autistic. The officer even let him watch Ninja Turtles on his phone bc his was dead. I always has anxiety when we in public but this trip to the ER was pleasant.

I went to visit a former church member , and the hospital was very clean. The staff was courteous, The food on the dinner tray looked & smelled good . The patient's room was immaculate. As a former patient there, I prefer Oschner as my hospital! 👍

This is a really nice hospital...my first time here and it didn't feel like a hospital. It had a very French quarter vibe, the pictures on the wall were beautiful, you can smell the aromatic PJ'S coffee in the air and every one was smiling. This place did not have a somber atmosphere like some hospitals do. 💣

"I had a positive experience at this hospital. It's well organized, and their app is fantastic for managing appointments.

The lab services are impressively fast; by the time I walked to my car, my blood work was already available online! The doctor reviewed it promptly and took immediate action for the next steps. I highly recommend this hospital.

If I could leave less than one star, I would. My loved one was admitted to this hospital after being transferred from another facility due to a stroke, just one week after undergoing open-heart surgery. The experience was nothing short of appalling. Upon arrival, the staff seemed completely unprepared and unaware of why she was there. We explicitly informed them that, due to a recent surgery, she could not be lifted by her arms and needed to be supported by her back. Instead of acknowledging this critical information, the nurse arrogantly dismissed us, saying, “I’m the medical professional; I know what I’m doing.” What she didn’t realize is that our family includes healthcare professionals with over 50 years of combined experience.

What followed was a horrifying display of incompetence:

A vacuum hose, meant to be connected to a urine cup, was left attached to the skin for four hours, resulting in a massive blood blister.
Her IV infiltrated to the point where, after discharge, we had to take them to another hospital to address a grapefruit-sized swelling.
Despite her being diabetic, they continually served her carb-heavy meals accompanied by sugary drinks like regular sodas and fruit juice—completely ignoring basic dietary guidelines for diabetes management.
She was left unattended on the toilet even though her feet couldn’t reach the ground, and she was disoriented and confused. Thankfully, a family member arrived unexpectedly and found her in this vulnerable state before retrieving a nurse from down the hall.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. I could list more examples of negligence, but the sheer lack of basic care and humanity should be enough to warn anyone. This hospital’s actions (or lack thereof) not only put my loved one’s recovery at risk but could have cost her life.

If you value the safety, dignity, and well-being of your loved ones, avoid this hospital at all costs.

Your nurses are very rude; they sit behind that desk and talk loudly about their patients, like we can’t hear them. I think that’s a cause for concern, especially if the person is dealing with mental health. The nurses need to do better upstairs and downstairs. That 3rd floor has it bad, very messy and unprofessional. I wasn’t even feeling better but I had get out there.

Worst hospital front desk security eve very rude and discriminating against Muslims. The lady at the front desk so bad no welcoming shes the wrong person to be at that spot . The way she talks is very disrespectful it's not about the the rulse we all love rules its just about serving the rules explaining the rules she doesn't want to even hear you talk or say anything if you ask a question she gives you that angry look and answer with disrespec . I found that she have something against Muslim womenwearing hijab and if its up to her she won't even let them in side the er door like Muslim US citizens are not welcome in that hospital. She shouldn't be at a welcoming desk as a security she belongs as a jail security she'll make a good employee there .

My wife was in for an emergency surgery 9 days after having cancer surgery at the Ochsner Medical Center East Bank. We checked into the emergency room and we're told she had pneumonia as well. After surgery we were taken to the 4th floor for "recovery". She spent 5 days in that room and on the first day she had an intense pain episode that was horrible! We kept calling for the nurses and when we finally got one she told us there was nothing she could do about the pain because she already received some pain pills and she couldn't give another dose for 5 hours!!! After approaching our "nurse" ANASSIA several times with my wife wailing in pain. She finally said she called the doctor. After 2 hours of no response I had to call the patient advocate line which gave me a recording telling me they were closed. It then transferred me to the East Bank Center, then to urgent Care, then that person finally got me to the house supervisor! I finally talked to someone who cared who then talked to the floor supervisor who finally got in touch with our resident and after 5 hours and 30 minutes she finally got the medicine she needed. ANASSIA gave lower than low care to my wife and she wasn't alone there were several nurses with horrible attitudes and acted like my wife's needs were a horrible burden. My father in law and I had to split 24 hr shifts just to make sure she wasn't left alone with the nurses and she received the care she needed. Then she was given antibiotics that she reacted badly to, bandage wasn't changed as it was supposed to, bedding was a pain to get changed, ice and water was of short supply.

If you can get to the East Bank if not just pray you get nurses who will actually do their minimal job! So much needless pain and suffering.
