A low complexity visit with a DNP for a persistent cough was billed at $549 ($367 after insurance adjustment). Either way, that's absurd billing, when I can go to an *urgent care* for less.

Looking at other reviews, seems like that's a typical issue people have raised for this location. I won't be going here again, and will check before going to other One Medical locations. Lesson learnt.

Update: Their reply is just PR. I reiterated my concern (which I had shared privately before originally posting review) and got the same reply as before. I thanked them for wasting my time. (And yes, I understand how deductibles work. That’s not the issue!)

One Medical used to be a great company but they really have gone downhill. I came here for a sprained ankle and the nurse partitioner who saw me literally told me in the hallway to the office "I don't know why you're seeking primary care, I'm not qualified to examine you..." yet they ended up taking me to the exam room, stating "I can't do anything for you" and then telling me to turn my foot left/right so they can perform an exam "because they had to do something."

Despite stating that they were not qualified to examine me, they submitted a claim for an office visit exam. I expressed concern with One Medical and after stating that I contacted my insurance company, the staff tried gaslighting me, and then just ended up ignoring me.

Eventually they chose to block me from seeing my primary care provider without telling me (the staff simply would not respond to me) and wouldn't correct a prescription that was sent to the wrong pharmacy.

While I'm sure there are some good people at One Medical, I ultimately had to take this to the State and Federal Medical boards in addition to my insurance company because the retaliation to my quality of care concerns were greenlit from the Director level (at least as far as I know)

UPDATE : It's truly laughable that the staff here replied telling me to email them, especially when that's exactly what I did initially to the feedback email provided.

The person who responded eventually to my emails (not the staff spamming boilerplate replies) is the one who told me I could no longer see my primary care provider. They even said they agreed multiple times with clinical staff that it was valid.

One Medical had numerous opportunities to address my feedback but they instead in my opinion had staff commit malpractice through patient abandonment.

I made an appointment from the one medical web, when I arrived at the clinic was told there was no appointment made. The doctor was not in today. They tried to reschedule me to Palo Alto location.
It looks the App system is not working. And the front table doesn’t recognize their appointment proof. Not worth the membership and decided to cancel it.

Excellent service. I was able to find an appointment last minute with a wonderful doctor - Sarah Brill. She was so attentive and took the time to ask me every single question. Didnt feel rushed at all and accomplished a lot during the visit.

I like that I can see any provider in an emergency situation usually on the same day or schedule with my primary through their app. The appointments are on time. They are knowledgeable on most issues I have had or can schedule me with a specialist.

I had a cold and needed a prescription for antibiotics, so I visited this place. When I asked about the bill, they didn’t provide any details. I’m still unsure if my insurance covered anything due to the deductible. I was charged $388 for the antibiotic prescription and a few medications, even though my time with the doctor was under 20 minutes. They used CPT code 99213, which is typically for a 20–29 minute consultation, despite not performing any additional tests.

Normally, this service would cost around $170, but they claimed the SF area rate is $388+. I spent a lot of time going back and forth with them and my insurance, but neither was helpful. I paid the bill, but I’ve decided not to use this place again.

Her expertise and determination have been invaluable in helping me manage several complex medical conditions. I couldn’t ask for a better provider and would follow her wherever she goes.

I had some trouble finding the parking lot and had to look up the correct floor, but after that, experience was great. The front desk staff was fast and friendly. My phlebotomist Deanna was also very friendly and fast. I was in and out in about 10-15 minutes.
