Graduated in 2015, worse High school experience, I forced to attend multiple times while being too sick to be there, faculty also didn't really listen or care about my bulling or harassment. Teachers are either to laid back, don't care enough to even try to attend, or try to hard they burn themselves out. Oh you can also find some good teachers but you have to pretty much rush to the counselors to get them before others do.
Principle isn't much 'fun' either I got yelled at by her multiple times for just asking for help.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
At least I made some good friends, And actually met really good teachers.
Always be kind to new teachers or any teachers that are trying to help make your school life better, those are the important ones that will get taken advantage by manipulative students.

I went to CI for my first 3 years and eventually graduated from here. I was impressed by how kids here weren't snobby as I thought they would be, instead they're awesome. The teachers are also fun and knowledgable though when I graduated it poured rain on us. Grad 2015!

I KNOW IT’S A BIG REVIEW, BUT I’M JUST TRYING TO HELP YOU BETTER UNDERSTAND THIS SCHOOL BEFORE YOU MAKE SOME DECISION (if in the case you’re looking for a school)
I'm a junior student. I was in another school my freshmen and sophomore years but we had to move from city, so this 2015-2016 is my first year here. Overall I like it because, comparing it to my other school - which was the only in the city due to how small Brawley was -, this school has a lot of clubs, I joined some, like French (don't need to be or speak French), Folklorico, Korean (don't need to be or speak Korean), Japanese (don't need to be or speak Japanese), College, and Key Club.
Although not all of them, the teachers I know care about the student. Like I have one honors class and two AP, Mr. Peck, Mr. Rodriguez, and Mr. Beck they all care about you, they teach really well. Whenever I talk to them about my grades or anything, they help me. Mrs. Rogers, my world music teacher, is so passionate about it that it’s contagious and also her energy, she’s always happy. Madame Evans is the best teacher for a language, and there are many students who don’t appreciate what she does, she cares that you actually learn the language, you just need to take care of business, the homework is not even hard, is the easiest I have. Her class is interactive, energetic, happy, and fun.
My other two teachers are also good, they help me too. And most of the teachers I’ve meet are really nice to me, like Mrs. Winters and Mr. Harvey at tutoring after school, another two passionate teachers. And the counselors answer your questions. I just have met one teacher that let’s students do whatever they want as long as she’s part of the conversation, but that was when I had English 3CP.
The diversity is good, there’s a lot of Philippine and Mexicans (me too), and you see a lot of those kids that look like they don’t care, but you find good people here.
Overall, I like it, but there are small thing that can be improved. Like the fact that we’re 34000 students and they just can’t build a second floor to the one-floor buildings, so classes are not so large, for me 30 is large. This school needs to get bigger buildings therefore, more teachers –that have to be qualified in order to help the school- and a better schedule. The one hour schedule really doesn’t help you prepare for the 2-3 hour long class in college. My old school had the 100min schedule, evens one day, odds the next, and it was not to kill yourself, it’s actually better. And lastly, (a thing I don’t really will happen…) the uniforms, I know is something not usual for HS, but it would be so much help (economically) so I don’t give up on my dream. In Mexico we wore uniforms and it was not like it took our “individualism”, a uniform doesn’t stop you from being who you really are.

I moved frequently but settled down in this school for two and a half years. Out of all the schools I can say the teachers really do care about your education. Students were always kind to me and there weren't any groups of popular kids or stereotypical teens. Everyone was merged as one. I will say when I was there, the principal implimented a lot of rules. I was assuming it was to protect the students but it did make students lash out. Like no hats of any teams, no jerseys, no solid color shirts like red or blue, no white shirts. Other than that, the classs were good too.

I use to go to this school for my freshman and half of my junior year… I do agree that the students at this school is caring, other people see this school as cholos always acting up with people, but it's different everyone at school is very nice their is compassion…
Everyone at that school knows each other, we are like a huge family everybody know somebody's name. And once there is a new kid arriving at the school, everyone notices the kid and will talk to him/her , show them to there class room, eat lunch with them…
Everybody outside of Oxnard always complains about how dangerous it is, theirs drugs and violence, no one brings that to school trust me... I love this school 100% and I hope I even graduate at this school, class of 2016.. The current school that I am going to is Thousand Oaks high school and I hate it, everyone is disrespectful, it's VERY hard making friends, they dog you out like there going to do something and they start talking about literally behind your back like you can't hear them… This school has no tolerance at all... Now at Pacifica high school I new everyone and everyone knew I would always have someone who wants to battle me at dancing at the home football games and everybody will be cheering and the ASB program phenomenal always know what there doing and also a big family as well… The teachers are also opening to but there main goal is to make sure you succeed in the class. They also have tutoring good programs as well... Our sports teams are THE BEST, there training maybe intense, but you turn out being a better player then you were before... Our Dances, rally's to also good as well.. No matter what you do you'll have a great time and make LOTS and LOTS of memories... Once a triton, always a Triton..
