I am a New Patient looking for a Medical Provider in the Valley, i called today to schedule an appointment and was asked if I was over 60 years old to which i said of course I am, I was told immediately that because I have MEDICARE I was not a candidate for an appointment in their practice since they limit the elderly patients because of this. I was not given the oportunity to say that MEDICARE is my secondary coverage, I am still employed with excellent primary private insurance through my employer, a very poor way to handle a new patient and would never want to refer anyone to this Practice....It seems as my age was more important in order to dismiss me even before i got a word out of my mouth..

I have waited a few months before posting my own review of this "business". I will NEVER be taking my daughter here AGAIN. Not only does the doctor have horrible bedside manners, he is TERRIBLE when talking with kiddos about the process and what he's doing and what's coming next. We are people/humans. Not robots to shove around looking for the results you, the doctor, require! My daughter was SO upset and emotionally distraught after dealing with the male doctor here, that I have decided she will never go back! If, a company is going to "claim" to be a part of a FAMILY practice, then one would think they know how to work with children as well! At THIS business this is NOT the case! The female staff are a bit more patient with my daughter and I. Unfortunately, though, they too are not welcoming or warm. It's like we were cattle being hearded through as quickly as possible, to get stuck in a cold room, and wait for when it was convenient for the doctor to come in! Even though, yes, we succeeded in scheduling and getting to the appointment on time.

I would give ZERO stars if that was an option. I would not recommend this company, especially not for children. I will be seeking elsewhere in our town for better safer services.

Dr. Brooks is kind, thorough and very personable. I have been a patient of his since before I was married, and now have 2 children. Not only has he always answered any questions I had during visits, but he has even called me personally on multiple occasions, about things that could have easily been passed onto staff. I have complete trust in him and his team!

I'm confused by the 1 star reviews. I have never had anything but 5 star care, and 5 star attitude from the staff. I have been receiving care here for 5 years, and my children their whole lives. I love Dr.Ford, and even though I have moved to another city I will continue to come here. They know our family, and have been nothing but kind and caring. People forget that you get what you put into your interactions with other human beings.

Palmer family medicine used to be an amazing doctor's office that was for its people, If you were sick you could get help from your own home with a virtual appt. Out of meds? Call in for a bridge until you can be seen. If you're a single mom forty miles away from the clinic you could get help from your own home with a phone or virtual appt. Palmer family has become the office that will not help you if you do not come in person. Which to me says i am nothing more than income And what's going on in my life or my mental and physical health does not matter any longer. So thank you, I will either wait a month for my meds I'm out of (that i need to function) or face trouble with my job since yall are only open until 430, monday-Friday, i will be finding a clinic closer to where i live or who understand it is not as simple as just coming into the doctor, that whole lives have to be rearranged to do so, as I had gone a long way out of my way to make sure that I could still be seen at this clinic for the last two years. NOTHING has changed. Just new doc, new rules either step up or get out. I'm tired of being pushed around by people doing 10x better in life than me. I'm OUT.

I have only had good experiences with Palmer Family Medicine and they provide care for all of my extended family as well. They are compassionate and get to know you as a person. I have always been able to ask questions and get individualized care.

While Nicole is a great NP, Dr Brooks has HORRIFIC bedside manner. He never once actually addressed me. He only read his notes out loud as he made them on his computer, and he completely ignored me telling him about my back pain. They also have a really high turnover rate and that's concerning. And they refuse to help disabled patients apply for disability.

The front desk rarely answers the phone and I've never had them return a call after I've left a message. All in all, I can't recommend Palmer Family Medicine.

Got set up as a new patient, had to cancel my apt. and when I called back to reschedule they said that they “can’t allow me to be a new patient because I cancelled within 2 hours of my first apt.” Wow. This is a terrible policy that clearly demonstrates a lack of understanding that people are human and have lives that are unexpected at times. Those are not the kind of qualities I want in a provider anyway. Good luck growing your new business in a small town with that approach!
