We visited Passport Health for shots and advice for our upcoming trip to South Africa. The entire process was very efficient, professional and informative. Although expensive. We had previously filled out their detailed questionnaire that our nurse Melissa reviewed prior to our visit. She was up to speed on our itinerary and illustrated the risks and choices we faced. No hard sell, just information. These folks know their stuff! Do your homework on childhood vaccinations so that you can either avoid some shots or get boosters if needed. First class outfit and deserving of 5 stars.

I have gone to this clinic multiple times over the last 15 years for a variety of trips to remote areas. In the past I always saw Melissa who was great. I have a trip planned in March 2025 to Borneo. I came to the clinic in June for a consult. Did a consult with a different nurse. She told me what I would be needing and recommended I come back in December for the shots and prescriptions because my trip was not until March. I made the appointment in Dec as reccomended. First it was canceled at the last minute. It was rescheduled for a week later. When I came for the appointment there was another different nurse - who didn’t give her name. First she couldn’t find a record of my prior visit. Then she finally found it and told me that I had to pay another consult because it had been 6 months - even though that was the recommendation from the person I saw in June who didn’t mention that I would need a second consult. Fine I’ll pay the second consult. Unfortunately this new person was very uninformed and unhelpful. Apparently the prior consult said I was going to Indonesia and this nurse did not understand the basic geography of Borneo - a large island that is partly owned by Indonesia and partly by Malaysia next to each other in one land mass. She refused to look at the map so I could show her the region and that Borneo is both Malaysia and Indonesia together. She seemed very annoyed that I was there for shots and not just a consult. She was frustrated and wanted me to tell her the exact location of where I would be hiking in the jungle, ummm in the jungle there’s no street signs. She said she refused to provide malaria pills - which the prior consult indicated I would need because I would be in the jungle. Apparently this botoxed and injected nurse only comprehends travel to the extent that you’re in an all inclusive resort rather than the needs of an off grid expedition. Since she was unable to comprehend the nature of my travel and was too rude to listen I had to walk out. Check who your scheduled with. If it’s not Melissa reschedule.

Passport Health is a treasure chest of helpful and kind people, a place to find answers to any question you can think to ask, a place where you automatically feel calm and cared for by professionals who display great travel wisdom and knowledge, shortcuts, critical issues that must be addressed And, hey are able to give you the requisite shots you need before you travel anywhere. Melissa took care of my shots and she was a pro!

The printed info you receive when you first come is orderly, up to date and useful. They've done the heavy lifting when it comes to organizing the true quality of the trip by making you aware of possibilities before you travel.

As well, they offer bug repellent for clothes, for bodies and the prices are fair.

Melissa in the Juno Beach office can address anything you might need to know. She is confident, conversive and to the point. When I left, I felt so cared for and so much more aware than I was when I walked in.
Don't think twice about Passport Nurses--they have their act together and you leave feeling something very special and calm! But, your arms might be a bit sore. 😝
