I had a bad experience seeing nurse Christopher. He doesn't care what your symptoms are or how you feel. Never seeing him again.

Nice place, very open area, free parking. My friend appt.checkin was what we thought good, but a lady at desk did not communicate to the other check in area that we were there and that lady left. Sat for 30 min. Until I had to say something.

I spent about 3 months trying to get an appointment in for sleep medicine, every-time they asked for my insurance authorization and gave me a fax number. And every time I would have it sent over. After 3 months they actually received it and said that I would be contacted by the provider for scheduling. Never heard anything for 2 weeks so K just decided to find a different clinic that actually cared. Maybe the actual provider could’ve have been good but based off my entire experience with communicating with this clinic I’ll give 1 star. I’d recommend going elsewhere for your medical needs.

The receptionist in Urology and Gastroenterology in Woodland Ca . is super rude she’s not welcoming at all, she was discussing personal matters with co workers like when was lunch, food, and saying what is the mouth for.. being loud and not professional. Yes the lobby was empty when I arrived and I was the only patient waiting , then other patients arrive and she was careless. she is representing dignity, that’s a shame!

The provider took a call from her dentist during my appointment! As an RN I had heard nothing but terrible things about Dignity and I'm here to say from the patient side that it's as bad as they say. Waited 4 months for an appointment only to find out that the doctors here won't prescribe medications I've been taking for years, or care for very basic medical needs, all of which have been managed solely by other primary care doctors. Supposedly all due to policies set by Dignity. Save your time and your health, go anywhere else.

I blame this hospital for my mother's death. For a year, she kept going in, telling them that she had such bad pain that she couldn't eat. They kept sending her home, telling her it was all due to a hernia that she had. Wouldn't even take the time to check it out. None of her symptoms could be explained by a simple hiatal hernia. Turns out she had cancer. By the time they eventually bothered to look, it was already stage 4. It was already in her brain. By that time she was so bad, she needed a feeding tube. While cutting her open to put in the tube, they left a plastic bag inside of her. The experience destroyed her. Any sense of hope she had was gone. She called me multiple times, pleading with me to let her come home. When finally home, I saw what they had done to her. The multiple wounds on her stomach from the botched surgeries looked like something out of a horror film. Her mental state was grim. Nobody could talk her into going back for treatment. She chose to die at home rather than spend another minute in this hospital. One star doesn't begin to express my feelings about the incompetence of this hospital.

Edit: I've slightly modified the language in my review after receiving a threatening email from Yelp implying that I may be sued by this hospital. If only I could leave negative stars.

Normally I would be raving about this place, unfortunately, this last visit was surprisingly a disappointment. I drive from Redding for each appt. which is two hours away (this means I have to miss work and if my husband comes along, we have to close down both businesses and lose income).
My appt time was 8am, so I left at 5:30am. When I arrived the receptionist was surprised to see me, informing me that the doctor was not in (first he was out sick, then in surgery then at another appt.) and I needed to reschedule...
I politely let her know this was not an option and sat down. They called the reluctant doctor (he had fractured his left ankle) to come in, needless to say, he was not happy and refused to take care of me (I was there for lumbar injections). He let me know the staff was scheduling as far out as March 2023 (this could have been told to me a long time ago, during the scheduling). The doctor told me I could return the following day and get the injections by someone else.
A little back story -
I had been trying to get in since BEFORE Thanksgiving (pain began about the 14th of November) because the pain was excruciating with each step and crippling; I was in tears. I had asked to be placed on the cancellation list and called every other day to check on the status. If it was not for the emergency surgery I had on the 8th (different location)and prescribed steroids, plus multiple Tourdal shots, I would not have lasted as long as I needed to (obviously!).
I was scheduled for the 19th, filled out the online registration, to discover the appointment was changed to the 20th. The morning of the 20th I receive an email to set up a "Virtual Appt."...are you kidding me?! I called to inform Dignity Health of the oversight and am told the doctor was out sick AND a few minutes later, he is in surgery (now the lies?) They rescheduled for the 28th, for the injections (I am no longer on steroids and could not afford anymore Touradol shots).
I did speak with a Supervisor and suggested to re-educate the staff. As for the doctor, I thought he was more responsible and understood the commitment to patients. The lack of compassion exhibited by the Pain Management Department was thoroughly discouraging. I can only hope they will improve and make the necessary changes to prevent this from ever happening to someone else living with chronic debilitating pain.
I hope the doctor also reviews this and accepts responsibility of this mess.

I took someone for cancer surgery. I have never been to a hospital that had such a clueless staff. Was sent to the wrong place by staff for the surgery intake. Turns out the correct room was 5 feet from the person who misdirected me, who was the only staff present to ask. After the patient signed in for breast cancer surgery, I asked what time I should return for pick up. I was told “Cataract surgery doesn’t take that long.” She was not here for cataract surgery!
I returned to pick up the patient where I had dropped her off. The only person inside told me they were closed and go to the main hospital.” I asked her to call over. She said she didn’t have a phone. Went to hospital. Nobody knew where I was to go. Went back to surgery center. Finally found the patient where I went the first time.
Of course I’m driving each way because I’m picking up a surgery patient.

What bothered me most was the total lack of concern by nurses. I don’t need an apology, but I needed to report the absolute lack of communication skills everybody I talked to.had, So it will get corrected and the people behind me don’t have to go though this mess. But hit was met with apathy.

Of the 5 people I talked to at this hospital, not one was able to give correct directions.

The patient had the insurance to go anywhere. She wanted the first available. Now I see why Woodland Memorial-Dignity Health was easier to get into.

I only hope the surgeons are more competent than the people who run this hospital.
