I had an appointment at the weight management portion of Personal Primary Care. When I arrived and went about the normal check in I paid my copay and waited to be seen. After being called in, they used a scale to measure not just weight and BMI but many other factors as well. That was fine with me but it was not an option to skip this portion. I then met with the PA (she was very kind so I don’t have complaints about her). After finishing my appointment and going to check out I was informed by the receptionist that there was an additional fee for the scale they used. I am extremely frustrated that at no point PRIOR to my appointment that there would be further costs. Considering that is mandatory to be evaluated, that should be told to patients upon check in. This, to me, is very deceitful. Because of that alone I would not recommend anyone to come here if possible. It’s not about the cost or the money itself but the lack of disclosure. Being upfront and honest is important when I am considering options for my health.

I usually don't have a bad experience with the doctors and nurses here, including that one mello/receptionist lady, the rest of the receptionist are usually rude, like today's appointment 11/19/2024, this one Latin/blond with a bun was mad rude, rolling her eyes, sighing loudly, and shaking her head, just because I asked her if she could please give me the number for the mri place called Rayus.., mind you, not being racist, I'm latin too, but anyways, because lately these scam calls are getting good and it's hard to tell who's who. Their even advancing to using numbers of other places i know. Since my elderly mom has been the victim of identity theft before, but of course she didn't care. I hope she never has to deal with another job like cna work and in general with the public, since she can't seem to stop being rude as a receptionist on a bases. Smh. Once, fine, all the time tho...? Come on now...

I am a new patient at this practice, and judging by the first visit this was a great experience. With the way health care has been lately, it felt good to go to an appointment and feel like you and your health actually matters. Yes this is a small practice yet they understand it is a bout the patient and what they're concerned about. I am happy with my PC so far.

I stand behind my original review (below) but I think it is imperative that I update this review as google does not allow me to leave another. I’ve been seeing Dr. Khan in different capacities for over 5 years now and most recently he and his team are my weight management dream team. With his practice growing Dr. Khan had to hand me over to one of his very capable PA’s for the majority of my appts and today was my first visit with her, her name is Olivia and all I have to say is WOW! The woman is absolutely amazing from her energy & personality to her bedside manner, she is exactly what the doctor ordered 😉 She listened without seeming rushed, she was genuinely interested in what I had to say, she answered all my questions and everything she promised she made sure to do befor days end. I never thought I’d feel the same connection I feel to the Khans but Olivia perfect. I also cannot end this update without praising Dr. Khans right hand girl Kammy. Kammy is the kind of assistant you want in your corner, kind funny personable and gets the job done. She is literally one of my favorite people to see when visiting the office. And last but certainly not least Debbie, what can I say about the women behind the scenes she’s amazing and I trust her and i understand why she’s been part of the practice for so long. So to conclude this very long updated review the Docs, PA’s, & MA’s of Personal Primary Care of E. longmeadow and the people who work there are superior in every way. If you are looking for new providers for everything from PCP to weight mgmt to beauty treatments look no further. It doesn’t get better than them.

I decided to switch my pcp to dr. Khan after I chose to start my weight loss journey, I had been going to riverbend and to be honest I never saw my pcp it was like whoever was there to see me even if the problem was personal and sometimes embarrassing therefore I could never make a connection with my provider however since switching to Dr. Khan as my pcp and weight loss specialist he instantly made me feel comfortable and confident with that He was here for me my needs and my weight loss journey. When he spoke of my journey he would always say “we or “us” as in “we are in this together and I support you all the way through” I instantly knew this is where I belonged. The ladies in his office are absolutely amazing and so sweet and eager to help w any of my needs they are prompt to respond if I need any kind of letters/ rx’s etc. I’ve tried to “lifestyle” changes in the past but in 4 was I’ve lost over 8 lbs w Dr. Khans expert advise and confidence in me as a person. I now feel happy, comfortable & confidant that I will succeed w Dr. Khan and his staff by my side. If your looking to for a weight loss specialist or just really great primary care provider look no further this is where you want to be!
