I used the services of Preferred Care at Home for not quite a year. My wife has dementia. Cormac met with me before I made any decisions and explained their programs and helped me put together a plan for my wife's care. My wife received care from different caregivers - Nicole, Iris, Amanda, Cassidy, Danielle and Dana - and all of them were great caregivers/companions for my wife, which allowed me to do errands and get a break. I needed 24/7 care from a fall where multiple bones were broken. I called Cormac from out of state and within 3 days when I returned to VT he had set up 24 hour care for 7 days a week. The company has such excellent hiring policies. They sent outstanding care givers to my home. I especially liked Sarah and Caroline. They took such good care of me. They were kind and thoughtful and very knowledgeable. I you ever need in home services you can’t go wrong with them. They were with me for 10 weeks. I couldn’t have done it without them.

Preferred care at home has been a geeat resource as my grandmother's care needs increased due to a mini stroke. Management did an awesome job at listening to our needs and communicating expectations. The carers do a wonderful job and are paired very well to location, task load, and personality. My grandmother gets along well with all three carers. They do great at comminicating and trying to find coverage if a carer is sick. They're very responsive to feedback. They also ensured to interact with and respect any other carers in the home such as occupational therapy and physical therapy. They truly care about their work amd who they care for. I hope others can use this resource when they need care for a loved one.
