My grandma had a biopsy and bloodwork done here and we were told that we would be called with the results in a few weeks. We were never called with the results and when we contacted the hospital to request the results, we were transferred to a million departments, half of which did not even answer the phone. It should not be this difficult to get your test results.

I am writing this review to express my deep frustration and disappointment with Dignity Health (Northridge), particularly with Dr. Patel and her team. My mom is a patient of Dr. Patel, who has consistently shown herself to be inexperienced and lacking in basic patient care skills. Every time my mom has an appointment, Dr. Patel is dismissive and lacks the patience necessary to explain medical results in a relatable and understandable manner.

Our most recent experience was especially disheartening. My mom was scheduled for a follow-up visit to check her cholesterol levels and A1C/glucose levels. We were instructed to visit Labcorp a few days prior to the appointment. After taking time out of our schedules to go to Labcorp, we were informed that no orders had been submitted for my mother’s tests. The Labcorp staff were supportive, but this oversight from Dr. Patel’s office was unacceptable.

When we called Dignity Health to address the issue, we requested to speak with Dr. Patel but were told she was unavailable. Instead, we were directed to a nurse named Carmen. Rather than taking responsibility, Carmen suggested that we should have confirmed the orders ourselves. This rationale is completely illogical. How can a patient be expected to confirm orders that should be automatically handled by the doctor's office? Especially when the appointment's purpose is to discuss these very results! It's the doctor's responsibility to ensure everything is in place for a follow-up visit.

This isn't the first time we've encountered problems. Getting in touch with Dr. Patel directly is nearly impossible. There is no email service to send questions or concerns to her, which is particularly troubling for a facility that prides itself on being a teaching hospital. How are doctors supposed to learn the importance of patient-doctor relationships if they are not even accessible to their patients?

Dr. Patel hasn’t even reached out to apologize or offer another appointment that doesn’t make my mom wait another two months. This lack of accountability and concern for patients' time and well-being is appalling.

Moreover, the office staff at Dignity Health is equally unhelpful. Long wait times on the phone, rude receptionists, and a general lack of empathy seem to be the norm here. It’s a constant battle to get even the most basic information or assistance.

The entire experience with Dignity Health has been beyond terrible. We are currently exploring new options for my mother’s healthcare, as we cannot continue to deal with such incompetence and lack of care. I strongly advise anyone considering this facility to look elsewhere. While the facility itself might look nice, the quality of care provided by the doctors and nurses is severely lacking. Save yourself the time, effort, and frustration. Stay away from this place.

Iv gotten impetigo one other time in my life so I know exactly what it was this time around and was experiencing the same symptoms. What I don't appreciate are doctors walking in having a conversation with you and pretending they give a damn only to call two or three others who are above them inside to give their two cents. I had him pull up what I was prescribed and asked for that exact medication and this guy prescribed me something completely different. This place is a complete waste of space and I'm never going back again. My old primary doctor was amazing if I'd known she'd be gone I would have saved myself the trip.

I don’t really leave reviews, but the Front desk is HORRIBLE. You should always greet the patients no matter what. As soon as I stepped in the facility they told me ā€œdo you have an appointmentā€with attitude. I also asked if they validate parking she told me no, then the security guard said yes and gave me a pass. My wife and I were really upset. Never coming back.

the front desk staff is so rude and they always act like the patients are a bother to them. before they even greet you or you walk halfway up to the front desk they are yelling at you saying "NAME." There have been many times that they schedule me and then call me the day of to let me know the doctor will not be able to see me. My doctor called in sick during my last visit and they failed to inform me. The office didn't even know that my doctor was out sick. I sat on a video visit for 3 hours, while calling the office to see why my doctor was not logging on. They continued to say "sorry theres a long wait." I finally was able to reach an office manager after hours of waiting and was told my doctor was sick.
impossible to leave your doctor a message for simple things or to request certain urine/blood tests. They always make you come in rather then doing a simple phone/telehealth visit. I honestly cannot wait until open enrollment starts so i can switch providers!!!!

I used to love this place and now it just sucks, the girls in the front AND at the urgent care don’t even wait for you to get to the counter before they ask you if you have an appt and what the reason for it is. They don’t have any proper phone etiquette either, if you call they’ll take your information and they just stay quiet for a long time and on mute, they don’t ask you to hold or let you know they are reviewing your information. The doctors, some are good, some just don’t care. I also had a biopsy done and i had to keep calling for results, i didn’t even get a hardcopy or detailed results.

All the reviews about the front desk staff being unbearable is unfortunately accurate. For healthcare professionals, there is no compassion or kindness. I never leave bad reviews but this one is necessary. I specifically picked this office for my primary care because I wanted to work with people of color and that was a bad mistake. One receptionist got irritated with me and put me on hold all because SHE couldn’t understand me and I was the one who had to keep repeating my info, which I had to call back because nobody picked up after she abruptly placed me on hold. If customer service is not your thing, don’t be a receptionist ma’am. Also, I requested they send my records to my gynecologist 3x in a span of a month and it never got sent. I give them the fax number and the attention 3 different times. I swear I had to call them every single week. It’s been a month and my OB still does not have my records. My OB is an Optum clinic in Mission Hills so one would think it would be on the same portal, but no. I got prescribed a medication that made my symptoms worse and called to get a different option since I found out I was pregnant and the medication department said they would consult with my doctor and call me back but it’s been 5 days with no call back. This has sadly been the worse healthcare experience ever and I’m disappointed.

So far so good. I have been taking a 10 year old here for medical treatment. I like that the facility is new, clean and has the latest technology. The only concern I have is I don’t understand the process of finding a PCP. It is ver unclear, unlike Kaiser. You choose from a list of doctors and that doctor becomes your PCP if the doctor is accepting new patients.
