Conveniently located. Office looked neat and clean, viewing pictures posted online. I booked an appointment. Starting 3 days before my appointment, I began receiving multiple phone calls about completing my new patient paperwork. Understandable, they want the paperwork before the appointment to ensure a full service. I get started on the paperwork the day before my appointment. while I was filling them out, the documents all of a sudden disappeared and I get an appointment cancellation email. I was then notified something came up for the provider and I couldn't be seen until 3 weeks out. This was the office's first impression on a new patient. I understand life gets in the way and cancellations are necessary. It just wasn't the best first impression. Especially because I needed an evaluation for a specific reason, by a certain time. Being the holiday season, it made rescheduling a bit impossible to meet my deadline.

The receptionist was very unkind, and assumed my friend was on Medicaid. There is nothing wrong with being on Medicaid, and even if he was on Medicaid, he shouldn't be treated with such rudeness. She kept assuming he wasn't eligible to become a patient there, and even went as far as to tell him to call back when he knows for sure he isn't on Medicaid. He told her repeatedly that his insurance was through an employer plan and still wanted to get him off the phone.

I am a former patient of Dr. King, and when I was switched to Medicaid, the receptionist then also treated me rudely. I don't know if it is Dr. King's policy to allow staff to treat those that are on Medicaid like lesser humans, but anyone who calls, should be greeted with kindness and without judgement.

They also refused to give me information on how to file a complaint, which they are supposed to do if I ask. I filed the complaint on my own. Hopefully they will start treating people who want to become patients with kindness, regardless of whether the person is eligible to become a patient or not.

Effien is, without hyperbole, the best psychiatrist I've ever had. Everything about my interactions with her has been wonderful - she's gone above and beyond my care many times - but I want to specifically call attention to her responsiveness. I'm thinking if you're reading this review, you may have had psychiatrists in the past, and if you're anything like me, those docs were almost impossible to get ahold of at times. Which can get really scary when it comes to medicine refills or prescription consultations. Effien has not once missed a prescription refill - many times I can see the prescription order come through while I'm on the meeting with her. It's unbelievably reassuring. If you're looking for a psychiatrist in the area, please reach out to her!!

Effie is the most caring and amazing doctor I have ever had. She is very professional and is very concerned about your well-being. Any time I have called, there was always someone there to take my call and Effie is always quick to respond. I've never had any problems getting a refill on my medications when I need them. Called in to make an appointment and the receptionist needs to be FIRED. I don’t understand what yep means when a question is asked. That is so unprofessional and rude. Based off of the phone experience I’ll take my business elsewhere.

I had amazing care from Effiem King. She takes your concerns seriously and not only double checks but triple checks to make sure everything is good with your inside and outside. She makes referrals for you to other doctors if she wants another opinion. She is very attentive and caring. It is not difficult to get in touch with her. Even when she is busy she always returns your calls in a timely manner. She saved my life! She listened to me when I explained my symptoms, she sent me off for blood work and referred me to a cardiologist because she was concerned. Unfortunately I had to have surgery on my heart and lungs but if it wasn't for her taking me serious I might not be here to write this review.
