Russell county has the most unhelpful, unpleasant, and confrontational public service workers. From police, driver services personnel, court clerks, health department etc. They’re so unhappy 🙄🙄🙄🙄

They hire the absolute saltiest people with the sorriest attitudes ever to pick up the phone or work front counter but I love a few of the people in the back. If u can go somewhere better, do it

The hours on the door say 7:30 to 5 Monday-Friday got there at 4:55 to request shot records for my son for school. Image my shock when the door is locked, the lights are off and you see the employees driving off from behind the building.

A month ago i scheduled an appointment with no problem, until the day of the actual appointment. I get there and there was no patients (that i was aware of) i tell the receptionist i had an appointment at 2:30 that day. She said “no your appointment is Monday not today, we sent you a letter in the mail to reschedule” i was extremely upset. I work a lot like most people and it’s hard for me to find time off because i have to request time off etc.. i told her i never received a letter and i also got a confirmation voicemail the day prior confirming that my appt was still the same day and time. After explaining and showing that i had a voicemail and no letter in the mail i was still refused service. She didn’t try to help me just told me to come back Monday. When i couldn’t.

I've had good and bad experiences here. The nutritionist doesn't seem up to date on her profession. She was basically saying fat is the only cause of obesity and it had nothing to do with, "natural sugar". So she was saying my kids could have fruit juice everyday. I told her I didn't want the juice on the vouchers but she was pushy that she knew better and juice was fine.

The staff was very friendly to me , and I don't think it took that long for me to conduct my business with them considering they were under staff. So 5 stars the employee. Thank you.

5 stars to the ladies at front. I read the reviews and hesitated about going there but I decided to give it a shot. The ladies at the front desk were very nice. People must undestand there is only 2 people taking care of everything in that little office. I think the office should be updated as well as the system they manage to receive food. They said they will have cards to get the food soon and not the WIC folder they have now. Thank you God! Coming from FL using a credit card, then coming here to use a folder and vouchers is just too much paper to me and annoying. It felt like going back to stoneage. I just do not understand how the FL office where I used to go had like 20 people working there and this one only have 3 or 5 people . Please whoever is in charge of that facility needs an URGENT update!. I really appreciate the help of everyone working in this WIC office.

Just went there for a shot record for my 5-year-old. I’m told that Alabama requires a different order for their MMR shot, so she tells me to take her to a local pharmacy for the shot. So, we do, where I’m informed that they only do shots after the age of 7. Don’t you think this is something the state health department should know. Super frustrated about this entire process.
