Absolutely Refreshing healthcare experience. I have been going through medical issues for 4 years soon that all seemed to present themselves as anxiety and the associated symptoms. I knew Doctor Sager was great because of the first two things he ever said to me. “What can we do to make your life better?”, and we are in this together(paraphrased). I didn’t feel like a burden or some puzzle he was being forced to do and in the state healthcare is in right now that was truly incredible to hear and made me feel so much more heard than anyone else has.

I find Dr Sager quite engaging and very thoughtful in response to questions and input regarding treatment. Furthermore, at least in my case, working on reducing medications as needed in order to balance mental and physical health is something I find very encouraging. Contrary to what some have said here, I have missed some appointments only to find myself instead in a very friendly exchange over the phone. I do not see very many Dr's going out of their way to make sure that their patients are OK and reaching out. Dr Sager, is definitely not out for the money and to say so is, in my opinion, completely baseless. It seems to come from someone that does not realize that this type of treatment is a two way street.

Dr. Sager just isn't very good at communication, which is dangerous in a psychiatrist. He's not very conversational or warm to be around, and from my experience he doesn't seem like he's very interested in or really cares about what his patients have to say. He also doesn't run any tests, ask any big questions, or really do anything to determine what the best treatment for you is, he just kind of guesses his best. If you already know what type of medication you want, Dr. Sager might be able to help you narrow it down, because he is quite knowledgeable about medication types (though at one point I found his info a little out of date). But when you're in his office, just expect to be treated strictly as a patient and not anything more.

Terrible bedside manner. Strictly money oriented. Won't return calls and will cancel appts. Will be furious if you cancel. Abandons patients. Prime candidate for malpractice lawsuit. Super short impersonal visits . should find a new line of work. Avoid him if possible
