They don't answer phones. 4th attempt.

Other reviews showed little regard for delays in appointment timeliness as I have as well. I am unsure how he determines priority on who gets bumped first.

Company only responds with boilerplate statement of
"We apologize you were unhappy with your experience."

I should have read the reviews before accepting my appointment. I originally was going to meet somebody at a completely different Sahara office but due to scheduling difficulties; I met with Dr. David Tanis today. Long story short I am in agreement with many reveiws: he ignored the issues I was speaking about completely and was much more focused and judgmental on my prior medication journey(from 2021, my issues have changed greatly). I also walked away from the appointment in tears; so I am not surprised to see that happened to somebody else.

Update: 8/24 (Just wanted to provide an update and everything is still going great with Dr. David Tanis. He is still taking care of me and making sure my meds and needs are being checked and everything is working. I really appreciate that we are able to telehealth and video chat for appointments as my work schedule and distance from the office.)
Dr. David Tanis has been great to work with and discussing my ADHD needs and finding proper medication that will work best for me. He’s very knowledgeable and helpful. He is quick to the point but most Docs seem to be this way due to patient overload or not enough staffing or Docs.
My advice is have your questions and concerns written down. Ask your questions get your answers and then discuss your options. Unfortunately most Docs can’t take 30-40 mins with each patient.

In regard to the staff setting appointments no issues there but I was never told about the fee I had to pay for my initial appointment. SBH billed my insurance but a very small amount was covered even with Blue Cross Blue Shield. Luckily I called the billing department and they said I over paid and then had a credit available.
I really wish insurance companies and the offices could actually tell you what it’s going to cost before they just bill you.

They don’t answer the phone or respond to emails. If you need help with your mental health, contact another office, because it’s ridiculous. Whoever is handling customer service should be fired.

Staff is very snarky and rude, and they charge for unnecessary appointments and I waited on hold nearly 30 minutes for an appointment, like other reviewer have said. Stay away from this place.

I never write reviews. This one’s so bad it needs one. Over the 10 months I received care with Sahara, they’ve done quite the job of burying their professionalism in a hole. I’ve never met more miserable medical staff. They’re on top of collecting co-pays, they’re always around when due, yet the phone is never answered… Forget an email - no one answers those either.. For the first time in my life, I had a front desk coordinator schedule me for an appointment via phone, and never put it in the system. Kind of hard for me to meet with a doctor during my appointment, when I wasn’t given one. Maybe I should ask my co-pay to be reimbursed for said appointment since I sat around for an hour and no one showed up? Their software system seems to have a delay, so, of course, that was my fault also. My favorite: My doctor accused me of lying about having a medication refilled, yet I’m holding the bottle with a fill date of October 31st on it!? I don’t know what’s going on with this office, but it’s like the twilight zone. If you have health insurance go somewhere else. Anywhere. They’ve been equivalent of me, paying medical professionals to treat me like crap.

Do they have allergies with picking up the phone? Also why can’t we call straight to our Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Overall, terrible experience here. Like, worse I’ve ever had. We came here for my son and the front office staff was rude, we always had to wait 45 minutes to 90 minutes for our appointments! Tanis blamed not wanted to cut anyone’s appointment short but I saw his previous patient leave, saw him talk and laugh with the receptionist for 15 minutes and then go back into his office for 40 minutes alone before he called us in. Another time I waited over and hour to be seen and “doctor” Tanis just told me I had to reschedule and come back another time when I didn’t have my baby with me. They will book online appointments but sometimes their app works and sometimes it doesn’t and you’ll be charged either way. Nobody answers phones or emails. I would rather drive an hour to go somewhere else than to this place. So disappointed. Don’t waste your time or money.
