Approximately a year and a half ago, my mom was admitted to St. Agnes and it was a very bad experience. Upon entering, tge security guards were on their phones, nurses were rude and disorganized. People with minimal issues were being seen before people who were in need of urgent attention. The waiting room was dirty and full of people and children who were not needing to be seen and just simply shouldn't have been there. Fast forward to middle of 2024, since Trinity Health has taken over, and it is LITERALLY a completely different hospital. Security guards are assisting with triage, answering phones and fully managing the waiting area. Things upon entering St. Agnes move swiftly and smoothly. Nurses, once my mom has been assigned a room are efficient, proactive and communicating not only flawlessly with each other, but with me as well. The hospital is clean, the staff is friendly and are consistent on following protocols as simple as name tags. I can relate to anyone who has had a bad experience with St. Agnes in the past, but you have to give them another try, it is NOT the same hospital it was 2 years ago. When I take my mom in, I am comfortable and do not worry about the care she's receiving and that is a priceless feeling!! Great job St. Agnes

If I could put a zero to this review, I would I was there for five days and they made my situation worse kicked me out like a dog because they knew my insurance weren’t gonna pay for their mistakes that my insurance previously already paid for the nurses and the staff here are ridiculous I waited nine hours from my medication that would’ve been three different times that I should’ve had it administered there’s only a few nurses that really did do their job correctly and I appreciate them very much but everybody else they’re acting like you were a big bother to quit bitching about it. I never had any complaints about this hospital. I used to love coming here. I had my son here. But never again will I ever come here again my advice go somewhere else this hospital is not the same anymore. A bunch of youngsters that don’t give two shits about how you feel or the pain that you’re going through. My advice to the staff if you’re not there to do real change and be compassionate change your job description it’s not for you if you just wanna flirt all night and be on your phone go somewhere else there’s people that really need attention and care

I would like to raise a complaint about some of the policies at this hospital, which I find to be inhumane. For example, my friend’s baby was born at 36 weeks and 1 day and is required to undergo a car seat test. Normally, this test should only take about 90 minutes. However, the doctor insisted on a 4-hour test. The issue is that my friend’s baby needs to be fed every 2-3 hours, making it impossible for them to stay in the car seat for 4 hours. They are requiring baby to go hungry during this time just to complete the test. This lack of consideration for basic needs is extremely disappointing and unacceptable.

My mother was admitted here for a few days. Reese, the over- seeing nurse on the third floor along with the rest of the rotating staff of nurses were wonderful. The doctor (forgive me for not remembering his exact name, but his last name was of a Middle Eastern or Indian (Hindu-type) of surname, that - I do remember) called me, her son, and spent a generous amount of time with me going over her prognosis and answering all of my questions, in-depth I might add. Thank you all for aiding to her full recovery, and I certainly hope the staff enjoyed the dumplings and potstickers I brought in on Thanksgiving. It was the least I can do.

I took my wife to the ER at Saint Agnes as an OB told us that she had mastitis and needed to go immediately for fear of sepsis, writing a note for her. For 6 hours I waited OUTSIDE with our 9 month old as they kept telling me there was no room for me and that I couldn’t visit or be there for her—the anxiety of not knowing was unbearable. Finally, I was allowed to see her for 5 minutes where I found out that she was on morphine. How can she make clear medical decisions or advocate for herself when she was so sick and on a drug they gave her? Yet they wouldn’t let me stay with her.

She was finally given a room sometime later that night after I left. In between visiting and taking care of our children, not once did a doctor or nurse address me—I was invisible. Unfortunately, I foolishly believed this meant everything must have been getting better. A DAY later she was transferred to the ICU due to her blood pressure being too low and unstable—again, this was alarming but nobody conveyed to us what this meant. She ended up waiting hours in the hall on a bed for her ICU room.

Neither my wife or I understood the severity of what was going on—they wouldn’t talk to me and they would just tell her (as she was foggy headed from being sick) medications and medical jargon for why they were giving her something—not what it meant or whether she should inform her family.

Thank God, her blood pressure finally began to stabilize and she was moved to another room as her blood work and condition improved.

As we were sitting together (after her transfer to ICU, of course I was alarmed and concerned so I stayed with her) my wife overheard a nurse sharing information with the shift change—the words “septic shock;” it was the first time we had heard anything from them about her condition (and it wasn’t even said to us).

This prompted us to look up her medical files online and research, and what we found made our faces turn white.

The initial notes from my wife’s ER visit stated that she was in multiple organ failure and septic shock! Yet they didn’t tell her, they didn’t tell me, they kept me away from her even after she conveyed that she wanted me to make medical decisions for her to them directly, they didn’t transfer her immediately to the ICU—SHE WAS DYING and I had NO IDEA.

I would have never left her side had I know her condition, and they wouldn’t be able to keep me from her had I known.

The guilt I feel from being so gullible and mistreated by this hospital keeps me up at night—I’m fortunate my wife survived and that I didn’t wake up to finding out she had died without me being there for her.

The idea that they failed to keep either of us informed of how serious this was is disgusting, reprehensible, and negligent. People deserve to have precious time with their loved ones should their condition be so serious and the likelihood of death so high—robbing them of such is foul. I pray this hasn’t happened to others who were less fortunate then I.

I visited Saint Agnes Medical Center on 2/24/25 at approximately 10:30 PM seeking medical attention for a serious, ongoing health concern. While the security guard and registration staff were professional and well-mannered, my overall experience with the medical team was deeply disappointing and frustrating.

After being registered, I initially felt relieved to finally seek help and undergo necessary tests. However, my experience quickly turned negative due to the lack of professionalism, compassion, and proper medical care from the nursing and physician staff.

The first nurse who took my vitals was visibly overwhelmed, multitasking, and unfriendly, which I could overlook given the ER’s likely high volume of patients. However, the next nurse who called me for further discussion spoke about my condition loudly, violating my confidentiality and making me feel extremely anxious and humiliated in a crowded waiting area. Instead of creating a space where I could comfortably explain my symptoms, she was condescending and impatient, making it even harder for me to articulate my concerns.

Then, the doctor who saw me completely dismissed my symptoms, minimized my concerns, and outright gaslit me about my condition. I advocated for proper testing, and he sarcastically stated that “Staphylococcus aureus wouldn’t show up in a blood test, but if you want to get poked for fun, sure.” This level of disrespect, lack of medical accuracy, and unwillingness to properly assess my case is unacceptable. He also dismissed video evidence I provided, minimizing my symptoms without a thorough examination. Rather than investigating my ongoing health issues, he simply pushed antibiotics as a blanket solution without any real effort to diagnose the problem.

This experience was not only degrading and frustrating, but it also made me question the quality of care provided at this hospital. Patients come to the ER seeking genuine help, not to be belittled, gaslit, and ignored. The more doctors continue to dismiss cases like mine, the worse a patient’s condition can become, potentially leading to serious, preventable complications.

I hope Saint Agnes takes this as an opportunity to reevaluate the way their ER staff treats patients—not just as numbers to process, but as people who genuinely need help. No one should have to fight this hard just to be heard and properly cared for.

I lost the love of my life 12/21/2024. He had great Doctors, Nurse's, Social worker's. They took great care of him. He was stubborn, kept checking himself out of the hospital they found him outside the hospital dead took 30 minutes to bring him back. An I thank them for it. Thank God he didn't forget his family. Thank you

I went into the ER due to excess bleeding and stomach pain. The nurses and doctors were so patient, kind, and professional. Melissa (I believe her name was) the tech there had so many jobs she was doing and she still treated me with care. A lot of the staff is very light hearted and can make you laugh even though they’re probably on their 11th hour of work. Dr. Green was very gentle and helpful towards me while here.
